in my personal opinion, I think the swing lock is better. but, down side is that the back half of the blade is right at the end right before the dip and that can cut you if your not paying attention. the cartridge razor is good as week down side that some times it can pull the hair. at the end of the day it's what better for you. they both are good to me.
