I fabricated a rowdy pipe for my 562xp x torq , did some flow work , piston mod and installed a 20” cannon supermini 3/8 lo pro bar and chain with ps 63 chain. Cut times went from 20 to 11 seconds which is a (20-11= 9, 9/20 = .45 , .45x100 = 45% gain over stock. No machine work to the base or combustion chamber- ,stock cylinder, stock base gasket- Left the ports alone , no widening lowering or changing shape all stock except for blueprinting the engine. Excellent cut speed , fuel mileage and so far longevity. Cut up 12+ face cord on a gal of fuel. Runs crisp and stays cool as a cucumber and will make repeated cuts until u either run outta fuel or the chain gets dull. Makes for an excellent worksaw in its present configuration. I can get more power from it IF desired (10-15%) but do not want to jeopardize mileage and longevity! If the intention is to build an everyday worksaw then I must say alotta guys are overbuilding, over machining and overporting their saws here on utube. Using “race saw” methods in an everyday worksaw gonna kill the mileage and longevity something fierce! Heck these saws should get a helluva lot more than 200hrs before failure - more like 600-1000 and those low hours tell a story
Nice I did a similar muffler mod but kept the stock deflector, it sure is loud tho. Has anyone messed with the coils on these for more rpm? My buddies needed a coil and he had a blown up 550xp so he put the 550 coil on the 562, it seams to run even better then before. We know the tech at the local dealer, he says it'll blow it up, we're gonna find out because it runs great lol.
I wonder if that plate in the center of the can is a half-ace'd attempt at something like a catalytic system. Just a hot plate instead of a catalyst, who knows if it actually helps or not on emissions though.
@@w6qd 💯!!! They know how to make a straight beast of a saw, but the epa would never allow it to be made or sold. So they just goop it up to make them happy.
Is that popping noise on the modded saw four stroking, rev limiter or something else? I have a 4218 strato craftsman that I ported, muffler modded, bored the carb, etc, that makes the same noise. Its the only strato saw I have messed with and the only saw that makes that particular noise. Is it a characteristic of strato saws?
Alot of it is the auto tune Rev limiter, but I've noticed the strato saws have a different sound to them. The four stroke definitely has a pop to it, plus the muffler mod you get some high pressure/high velocity gas escaping and making a little poping noise. 👍🏻
The popping while cutting is the saw being tuned rich, auto tune well eventually smooth it out, or you can try to turn your high jet 1/8 to 1/4 turn clockwise to lean it out a little and see how it acts
@@dubbssawshop Thanks! I tuned it in the cut, I don't remember if the popping stopped when I leaned it out. It cuts the fastest were it is at, I think I'll try it tomorrow to see if the popping does stop when I lean it out. I wish all my saws had spline drive adjustments screws like my poulans sure makes them easy to tune while cutting.

Mark 2 appears easier to mod. Good gains on this one.
Def picked up a bit more than I thought it would with just the MM. Can't wait to finish it up and get the final results 👍🏻

I do think that's what they were after, but who knows for sure.
If I had to guess, I'd say the EPA emissions had a big factor in the muffler design. The engineers at Husqvarna aren't that "stupid".

👍👍”that is unacceptable”. I laughed out loud. I was merely appalled.
Wow, that was a huge gain!
Huge improvement!
I'm very happy with how it's going!!!! 😁
Got around 30% increase. Seen a 26-32% cut speed increase.
Nice job mate👍
Very nice i like it sir.
Thanks buddy!!! I think it turned out pretty decent for just the MM. Can't wait til she's all whipped up nicely.
Doing fairly good JW, y'all doing OK over there?

Is the engine temperature dropping?
👍🆙👽😊
Hope ur well sir.
Hope your weekend is going well Doc 👍🏻!!!!
@@dubbssawshop been nice, a little hot but normal!
@@Doc-Cole_Trickle-of-Chainsaws no kidding on the heat!!! It's Blistering
👍🏻Dubbs & Doc!
Those are ridiculous mufflers. Awesome gains!👍🏻
Как то долго пилит
562 mkl has the worst muffler of all…
I can 💯% agree, a total PITA!!!
👊

Haha!!! It was horrible!!! But the Numbers show a 26% gain!!!! 😁👍🏻
