I was very fortunate to be part of more than 30 South Africans that came together and restored one of our most prized heritage sites.
These are known as "vis vywers" and can be found on the souther coast of SA. These particular fish traps can be found in Stilbaai, WC.
They were built by the indigenous people of South Africa, commonly known as the Khoisan. The biggest group in the area was known as the Hessequa.

Admiration for the Khoisan fisherman
