Duo, that cosmic entity is stronger in Anime, he took on the entire Crossfusion members in an instant without much effort...still, in the Game is Strong too and fun to battle! Good times! ❤
I, too, support a Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection. Let's get those games jacked in!
Oh, and fantastic remix as always. This is one of my favorite final boss themes in the series; it's just so foreboding and strange and doesn't have that epic "let's do this!" feeling like the others. Instead it's "oh god this meteor is going to wipe out humanity and none of my floor chips hurt it"
I know right
So long as there is a mode that lets us fight netnavi we have beaten whenever we want I would totally buy it.
The main problems holding back a BN Collection is, multiplayer between at least 6 games, with 3-6 split between two versions, DS remakes of 1 & 5, possible side games/Star Force, and possibly the biggest one, is the Boktai content in 4-6. Nevermind that non-Japanese versions of 6 are missing chunks of it's post-game.
I would still love to see it happen.

Personally I think that BN5 was the weakest BN game in terms of well....everything. I still loved it, just not as much as everything else... Don't @ me.

I remember being in an Applebee's when I beat him. I first experienced confusion as to the fact that the battle had stopped, quickly followed by a burst of euphoria that caught my unwitting family off-guard. A good day in history, indeed.

the scariest thing about duo, is the fact that unlike all the other final bosses in the saga, he doesn't bring an aura of force of nature like the others, he is a COSMIC force CONSCIOUS OF ITSELF, THAT BASICALLY ACT LIKE GOD(and can talk).
Not only that, but the Final bosses of MMBN usually are related or unleashed by the main antagonist of the game for their own purposes. But Duo is just a uknow outer space menace, that appeared to judge the earth, and doesn't really had a connection with Nebula or anything.
He's not even "evil" since his mision is actually stop the spread of evil on the world's he visit, he even forces Megaman to fight his dark part product of the dark chips. But is probably the greatest menace you will ever face on the series since he's just think to destroy earth without disnticition of people unlike the other antagonist from MMBN.
@@DanielValenciaCol On top of that, Duo is the one boss you don't actually delete. Every other boss (Life Virus, Alpha, Cybeasts, etc.) has been destroyed by Lan and Megaman, but not Duo. You only managed to temporarily suppress his battle form.
Duo is still out there and he swore he would one day return to Earth to punish all of mankind.
I was really hoping the Meteor G (and Crimson Dragon) threat in Star Force 3 was actually Duo returning to judge the Earth once more, like he promised.
But sadly that didn’t happen.
@@bigbadmrwolfeyhe probably would have been on SF 4 or referenced in some way because in the script, geo ended up becoming a criminal and the Satella Police has a bounty for him.
And technically, you don't win against him. Merely trying to SURVIVE his onslaught is an achievement.

Oh my goodness, it felt like an answer to my prayers to see this in my notifications. This is one of my favorite MMBN themes, and I couldn't add this to my favorites fast enough. Thank you SO much for your work on this.🤩
This dude is truly the hardest final boss i have faced in MMBN series. And his BGM just fit him perfectly

@@chaoswillcomesoon Alpha is incredibly difficulty but you can cheese it with any Wood Style + Grass Panel + Undershirt. And BN3 chips are extremely strong.

I've been replaying 4 recently. Now, I never minded that it's basically a ton of tournament arcs. What I DO mind is how punishingly difficult it is to build up your folder well compared to other games. Chips that have genuinely good attack power are far too uncommon, which means you have a hard time winning battles quickly, which means you have a really hard time getting the chips...it's a spiral of suck.
and the game-breaking bugs, and the 'meh' story... Yeah, MMBN 4 was pretty sloppy
As a kid, I played through it 7 times. Haha If I find my original cartridge at my parents' house, I might be able to verify that.

@@blara2401 Fair point, though since you have to play through the games more than once to unlock everything, the poor quality of the story just become more noticeable. Not to mention MMBN 4 was the game where the main story started to go downhill. Yeah let's toss away all cyberpunk elements until now to go FULL FANTASY. Bright idea. I'm glad that they completely ditched that crap to go back to cyberpunk in MMBN 6.
For this reason, Duo was the only final boss in the series that I consistently ran out of chips on and had to bank on doing most of the damage with the buster. That was pretty painful.
I fought this big douche hundreds of times through several replays of this game from red sun to blue moon and it NEVER got easier. I only dodged that shower of fists ONCE.
That's because if jumped straight into new game plus per playthrough, he legit gets harder PER RUN.
@@JamesTheTurnbull at least it diffrent from others where you have to complete the game 99% to get their omega form
His rain of fists is like Bass's Bassbuster. Unless you have an Invis active, dodging it is down to sheer luck.

I'd be tempted to replay BN4, if I wasn't so attached to the shared data in my save from playing vs mode with a childhood friend. It was kinda cool getting to fight Red Sun exclusive Navis in Blue Moon.

So I started replaying through Battle Network recently... this theme just brought back some VERY repressed rage and tension about this boss... I'm gonna have to deal with THAT again, aren't I? Sigh....

When I hear this, it makes me think of when my Mega Man OC, Dimension is fighting decisively against his dark sided copy who goes by Dark Dimension! And no matter when it comes up in my head, I always find it AWESOME!!
I still think it was Duo that sent Metero G to judge humanity again after 2 centuries.

Something interesting I noticed while listening to this theme, is that the intro sounds quite similar Boros' theme "Dark Energy" from One Punch Man at the start.
Maybe one day Koki will do a mashup of both 😉👌

I think it had more of an ominous feeling to it, which I like a lot more.

My copy of the game got a bug where it suddenly cant save anymore at a random point and deletes my save so i never finished the game, the game's difficulty also was a bitch and the fact it takes substantial luck to get a competent folder doesn't help. I liked the game but just wish it felt more competent in terms of difficulty curb.

I could never dodge his laser attack without getting hit.
I remember that once I got the hang of the laser's pattern it was really satisfying to be able to evade all hits.

I really do love Duo's theme. It was far off from all the other themes and it didn't follow the norm that was set from the 1st game. A lot of BN4's music was much different than the rest. The other final bosses that Wily or Regal controlled were not like Duo. Even though there were influences for Duo to appear, the stakes were much different in this fight. It was a fight for the world. Great remix.

The first actually propper final boss on the series. I mean... Life/Dream Virus was an insult. Gospel doesn't live up at the hype and the less we talk about Alpha the better.
