There's gonna be way more problems than just the substances that falls out of out bodies because the bathroom is not gonna finish every single one of our problems because we might have a broken bone. We might be arguing with somebody. We might have crashed into another car or fell off our bicycles or lost our jobs. So i think that there should be another name for the restroom. Idk what els to call it, but i'm just saying.

If an outhouse or a port-a-potty, then "hale liʻiliʻi" or "lua liʻiliʻi" would work. "Lumi hoʻopau pilikia" (along with "wahi hilahila" -shameful/embarrassing/bashful place- for genitals) came from the American Missionaries of the early/mid 1800s. Aloha nō.
I know it's late, but: kumu Kahikāhealani Wight writes in her book "Learn Hawaiian at Home" that au and wau are interchangeable, and that some speakers choose whichever flows best in each particular sentence.

Aloha, maybe someone here can help me with a question. Is there a rule for when to use au and/or wau or are they mostly used interchangeably?
