I've always gone at a angle from the rows especially in corn in real life running at an angle In corn helps break up the root balls better than going with the rows and helps decomp alot better
And dep on equipment it helps with clogs also.
The Landoll disc has a mulching function with it. Only one I know of that does both mulching and shallow cultivation.
Usually you would run vertical tillage in the spring after putting on some corn nitrogen. You would also probably run at a 15-30 degree angle. That's what we did in south-western Ontario anyways. Great series!
Good video! The stalk stompers show as mulched and will remove the grass, why I don't know!
Yes when i worked for n the farm any cultivating ir discibg was donevat an angle abd never running up and down the rows.we never rsn any mulching tools in my days .
We run a 15 degree angle to the rows in the fall with a high speed disc and a 8 degree angle the opposite direction in the spring to finish in corn stalks. Always skip pass because you can’t turn tight on the end.
Also, with a 2680H you wouldn’t lift the implement on the ends. Just make a wide smooth turn.

I purchased the field across the road from the farm entry and sacrificed to make as larger equipment storage and farm supplies.
I’m running into this problem on the umrv. Started a large silliage operation (custom farm build). But in the next year or two I think I’m going to switch over so need some room for a couple combines and grain carts. Need more sheds but no room for them lol

This is true, I run my high speed disk at a slight angle in real life, I just eye it up and go, also skip passes

Only disliked the video because you turn off traffic. Enjoy watching all your videos for realism but that bothered me when you said you turned traffic off.
That's dumb I always turn traffic off it's annoying as hell when ur worker gets stuck on some stupid ai car
