💖 Here are SUGA'S book recommendations - bit.ly/3yOb2i5 and I made a video recommending you books based on your BTS bias! 💖 th-cam.com/video/SO1QWxP-unA/w-d-xo.html
Totally unrelated: You should reeeally read my absolutely favorite book of all: Fear in a handful of dust by John Ives. It's amazing! I couldn’t put it down till I'd finished it.
I once cried in the train and I finished by laughing so hard, just thinking how the people may believe I a crazy girl with a book and a pen in the hair 😂
when she says the books are a lot about questioning the meaning of life and about who we are. yeah that sounds very much like namjoon omg i wasn’t expecting so many likes 😳 drink water and stream dynamite amis
is it stupid i got all giddy and smiled like crazy when you mentioned that one of the books was viewed as a more "feminist" read in korea and how many men were upset by it?? i was just really happy to think namjoon actually reads those kind of stories and likes them, instead of being dismissive about them or thinking them to be be bad just because of the topic :)))
Yes! Namjoon really is respectful. It's honestly admirable, not even just because I'm a fan. Like, 21st Century Girl was written as an apology for lyrics in the past and is all about empowering women. In conclusion I love Namjoon.
We don't deserve Namjoon! 😢He's the most respectful person I've ever seen! Thinking that now he now has female teachers or women read the lyrics before cause he's afraid of his words hurting us and coming off as misogynistic and offensive makes me respect him even more than I already did!
Sometimes when I cry in public while reading, I’ll put my book down and have a moment. One time someone asked if I was okay, and I told them the story of the book as if I were the main character. 🤫
I used to read a lot when I was younger, but in the last years I just stopped... Your book channel got me so excited and curious that I started reading again. Thank you so much!!!
I went through a long period of not reading either but im so glad i found a way back to the world. Glad you found the time and mental energy to come back!!
This is me right now. I used to sit all night to finish a book and start a new one but 10 years later I can't get myself to start a book. I think really need to start trying to get back to my one of the very first joys of life
I think Namjoon has already read the hidden life of trees as he talked/posted a lot about trees, made his members wait so he could check out tress and even declared his love for trees in a recent interview 😂. I think he will propably talk more about trees in "in the soop"
Omg i hate myself. I could have been Namjooning while in quarantine and could have read so many of his recommend books but now im starting collage. Ugh
Some KPop fans try to cancel Namjoon for recommending Murakami books because of some of the content. But I've read some Murakami novels, reading doesn't make anyone a deviant!

Namjoon posted a photo of his book shelf this year and beside the Murakami books he had "The Owl Spreads Its Wings with the Falling of the Dusk" a book about the conversations between Murakami and another author Mieko Kawakami, who is both a fan and a critic of his, and in one part of the book she had lengthy conversation about the function of female characters in his stories. The people who tried to cancel Namjoon are the ones who read some sensational article about "feminist accuse Murakami" which is how they tried to paint the interview book but unlike them, Namjoon actually read it and knows what meiko actually talked about.
i use to stay up hours reading books when i was a child since at the time i had no access to technology but now as i’m older, the only thing i do is be on my phone and i haven’t read a book in ages. This video really made me miss books, and i hope i find my way back to them. Thank you for the video !!
SAME!! I would hide books underneath my school textbooks and would stay all night to finish them. I would avoid spending time with people just to go to my room because I so badly wanted to finish a book and now I can't get past one page. I get so easily distracted by technology- my phone.
i'm so glad that someone i watch is talking about kim jiyoung, that book man!! it's interesting that you found it to be rather unexciting to read cuz for me, i practically sped through it because i got so fired up. i think i had that reaction because the author articulated a lot of things that i'd felt but could never express properly; for instance, when jiyoung's boss told her to stop running errands for her coworkers and asked "why do women simply take things upon themselves [without being asked to]?" that just hit. i think the power of this book lies in those kinds of moments, when you suddenly see yourself reflected in its pages. funnily enough, i actually saw the movie first when i was still in korea, and i would recommend it despite the many changes they made for the adaptation. the film definitely tries to be more palatable than the book, focusing more on jiyoung's life as a young mother and her experience with what seems to be post-partum depression (which is interesting, since they seem to suggest she has psychosis(?) in the book). the movie elicited more sadness in me than passion, but it's very well done for what it is. i definitely wanna read human acts now bc 1) i read the vegetarian at your recommendation and LOVED it, and 2) a taxi driver and peppermint candy made me very interested in the history of gwangju. same with the moth books, since i listened to the podcast before but never fully got into it (as is what happens with most podcasts, for me). as for kafka, maybe i'll give it a go, though i've had mixed reactions to the murakami books i *have* read so far. 1Q48 felt like a drag and had too many meta elements for me, norwegian wood just made me sad, short story collections like wind/pinball and men without women were alright, his nonfiction work underground was informative, and i absolutely adore after dark for whatever reason. and let's not forget never let me go, i think i should re-read that one since, in your words, i don't think it fully "clicked" with me the first time. damn this became an essay before i even realized haha! hope you're doing well cari, and happy reading :))
Totally agree with you about how it was powerful to see things reflected on the page, I just think it made my emotionally tired rather than interested in the book if that makes sense haha i do really want to check out the film tho!!! And yes after dark is 😘
I didn’t even know Namjoon recommended Human Acts and i actually did my final essay of Korean Literature at SNU about that book. I loved the way it was narrated! And loved the story behind why the author wanted to write about the topic.
I'm actually about to read 'Human Acts' but your comment has made me curious of the story behind it. Would you mind sharing any links you may have? I've read quite a number of Asian writers but I'm just starting with Korean Writers (happy there's a lot of translated works these days), but I often find there's often some historical or society backstory that helps you understand the context of the books. So far my favorites are 'The Court Dancer' and 'Pachinko', but l had to do some historical reading first to fully appreciate them 😅
@@user-hb4zz4gh5e Honestly, I was just so blown away by the generational story and the whole historical side. I wish someone credible will make it into a movie. It will be epic.
@@user-hb4zz4gh5e hmm, a series would make sense but I fear it might drag on because some parts are more intense than others in conflict, while a lot more are internal struggles. Unless of course each part (series) is focused on a specific conflict/era, and it's available on a platform like Netflix when everything is released at once, I think it might lose some audiences. I don't know if you've seen the k drama, 'Mr. Sunshine', which was a great format for historical time pieces, but I think that kind of format wouldn't work as well for this book because of the generational structure. For us to truly appreciate the structure of time and the inter-relationships of each character, we have to see most of the film in close procession. As opposed to Mr Sunshine or other dramas where the story focuses on the conflict of one set of characters, this book focuses on multiple sets of characters through time that are all interlinked with each other through generations. Like each person is a 'hero' /protagonist in the book and because of that, we can see the gradual contrasts of each character through time. Of course as a film, some parts would be skimmed over (cough, Harry Potter, cough) but I think experiencing the generational shifts/tones at one sitting would be more impactful. Anyways, for whichever format, it would really depend on who the scriptwriter is and how good they are in adaptating written works to film. Which would you prefer?
The mission now is to find Namjoon's secret account in the comments lol btw this is such a cool vid idea gurl u really up there as my fav booktuber AND youtuber. Damn, the power
I am not really a bts expert , but I actually got into a few of their songs because of the literary refrences! Just like you from books I have already read, I thought that was really cool :) Kafka on the Shore is one of my favourite books ever! And Herman Hesse always makes me cry. You could also read The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas, it's a really short story, but so impactfull! Also loved the video! Hugs from germany :) PS: writing in books is the best!
Haruki Murakami became my favorite author. His books always give me mixed feelings, because his characters are too... human. They fail a lot, they disappoint, hurt and make many mistakes. There are also some aspects that make me uncomfortable and I question these quite a lot. However, questioning doesn't make me appreciate his writing any less. There are so many things to reflect; some sort of life lessons to digest. I really think he presents points of views I would never know, because my life experience is completely different. Reading Murakami is like getting to know a whole new world - tho it resonates a lot with the one I live in.
@@박유라-p3g If you are into short stories, I would recommend The Elephant Vanishes. If not, The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle (this is one of my favs!). Both books have a lot of typical Murakami elements, they're great!
True ! I never know what to read and now I have a complete list 💜 (my best friend help me too, I stop reading because to study but now I will have more time )
I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT BOOKS, THE SMELL, THE FEELING OF PAPER, but I find it sooo hard to bring myself to read a book, no matter how interesting I find it.
Ieva Č you might want to stop using social media or your phone very often. I saw a study that says most people who find it hard to sit down and read a book is because they got used to the fast paced nature of media consumption nowadays.
Yeah I get that sometimes. But once you just sit down and start it’s amazing. What stops me is my phone. So if I can put it in a diff room or plug it in or play music on it and not touch it then I can start reading.
Demian was my twilight. I read it in my existentialism class when I was 15 and I had a huge crush on the character of Demian, while Sinclair reminded me strongly of one of my best friends in high school. Demian’s mother and her friends reminded me of my mother’s theater friends whose new age parties I attended as a child (or at least how I saw them at the time since I was much younger). I loved it in a simple pure way and connected to it on levels at the time. I had already read Siddhartha which I would argue is his most famous book in the US. And over the years almost every book lover I meet has read Siddhartha and has usually never even heard of Demian. Cut to many MANY years later and I’ve been a BTS fan for two years (in 2017). And I wake up one morning on vacation to see them releasing abstract short films using quotes and symbols from Damien. I could not have been more shocked. 😂😂😂
I resonate with SUGA and RM the most, i think mostly with what they struggle with. SUGA mentioned the book Life Lessons and its been really helpful. It has stories about folks who are dying and what they feel and how people have learned to live life with death.
Tamara Villalobos omg sure I really recommend reading the two books that Rubi Kaur has. They do talk about some heavy topics so please be careful since it’s about her life which it’s really cool. You will enjoy them
@@lauraaa3049 antis tried to say it was rape porn, it's not. There are 2 group sex scenes, but zero rape. The rumor was started by people who obviously never read the book, this is why I decided to read it.

Fun fact Demian is the inspiratiom in the story line of some music videos of BTS✨
I'm currently reading Human Acts and accidentally found this video, glad to know that it's one on Namjoon's book lists as I adore him so much 😅 thanks for the review, it answers my confusion at the beginning of the book especially when the point of view is changed!
I'm commenting again but, I just got to the part where u talk about "When breath becomes air " And I just, started crying so yep, will definitely read this one,,
I have been watching a few of these "Read like Namjoon" videos and, being a reader and BTS fan myself, am thinking of choosing one of these to put on my channel too. Thanks so much for this inspiration!!
As an aspiring doctor, I read When Breath Becomes Air just because it was written by a doctor who loves writing. Really didn't expect it to be emotional but I literally ugly cried through the last chapters. SO GOOD
I don't know why TH-cam showed your videos just now. I've been searching for videos that would recommend me books that I can relate or enjoy reading to but had difficulties doing it. I'm a fan of books since the day I learned how to read but stopped reading at 3rd grade of elementary because we left the city and transferred to our province where books are really rare. After 3 years, I finally came home to the City. I was about to go back on being a bookworm but something tragic happened to me. I became really depressed that time to the point that I've lost interest in books and didn't even wanted to read one again. But after knowing BTS, they helped me a lot to recover from depression and gave me inspiration to do the things that I really love to do. My bias is Namjoon and knowing that we share the same interests, it made me thank myself for not totally giving up and still fighting to what had happened to me from that day. It's been already 4 years since that incident happened and maybe it's about time to do the things that I am passionate to do without letting anyone or anything stopping me. Thank you for being one of the rare book TH-camrs on this app! Expect me being one of your biggest supporters now that I've already found your channel!!! Wishing you and your channel all the best because you deserve it!!!
oh my god cari this video idea is a DREAM thankyou for this big brain with big brain collaboration. i love you and your videos make my quarantine a lot more bearable, thankyou.
Honestly, Namjoon, BTS and K-pop, in general, are the few of the very few reasons why I'm still here today, honestly without them and my fate that is not my time to die yet, I would be long gone dead six feet under the ground. I'm so thankful for them, they become my moon helping me to see in the darkness, my compass when I lost my way, they are my anchor holding me in place, they are my float, helping me to float when I'm drowning. They are my everything. The reason to this meaningless life that I am living, they make my life a little bit more meaningful to live. The reason why I stilll wake up when I just want to keep on sleeping forever.
This video was, for me, perfection. I love Namjoon and books and Murakami and questioning life and everything about this video was just so well done. Yours is a new favorite channel, for sure!
Also I’ve never heard of Human Acts and it’s instantly going on my TBR pile. My favorite member of BTS is Hoseok, who has referenced the Gwangju uprising before, but I’ve never fully been able to grasp the cultural context. I would love to gain that understanding while reading a great novel.
I’m so glad hehe and its a hard one for sure! The uprising was sort of a culmination of yeeeeears of mistreatment by dictators so its hard to grasp and im still learning things all the time 🙏
This is so crazy I literally just bought one of the books on this list earlier on today and its sitting on my desk as I'm watching this video !! Cannot wait to read it even more now ❤️️ ❤️️
I just started reading 'The Elephant Vanishes' on the trip I'm on as I finished my books and my boyfriend had brought it. So I guess it's a good thing I've started with that! I didn't know Namjoon had a reading list, so I am super stoked on this! Great video, I learned a lot and enjoyed your perspective!
Hey cari, i’ve always wanted to recommend you a writer, her name is Clarice Lispector and she was born at Ukraine but lived almost her whole life in Brasil, her work is very famous here and she is one of the Classic Famous Writers That You Learn About In Literature Classes hahaha. The way you talked about Murakami writing reminded me the way Clarice Lispector writes, the thing about books without beginnings and endings and writing in flow of consciousness kinda way. Her work is very famous for that and also very unique, she has books translated to english and i think you would like it a lot! here are some my favorite of books of her that have eng trans: “Passion according to G.H” “The Hour Of The Star” “Agua Viva” :))
the film adaptation of Never Let Me Go literally changed my life and I finally bought a copy of the book this month. I’m so excited to dive into it but I know I’ll be crying through the entire thing
This is hilarious, I always say Namjoon and I are the same human and going through your translated list just reinforced my conspiracy theory hahahaha (but otherwise great video as always Cari 💜)
Loved this video! I’m slowly making my way through Namjoons reading list and even though I don’t love every single one, I do take something from each book, because like you said, they all pose interesting questions. I’ve had When Breath Becomes Air on my shelf for a while, but haven’t come around to reading it, but just put it on my nightstand after watching your video! Can’t wait to delve into your recommendations as well :)
Can I just say, your ability to communicate the premise of a book with so much thought is pretty amazing. I've never been more intrigued to read books I've never heard of before. Ugh. So good
I'm terrified of death so I'm definitely going to read When Breath Becomes Air. Also, Demian is one of my favorite books!! If you like Hesse's work I can recommend his book The Prodigy and Steppenwolf
I have been so afraid of death since I was child, still am. I remember talking about it with my mom and stuff but I still think about it probably every week and I'll read this book first thing in the morning ♥️💜
BTS is the reason my bookshelf is filled and I'm loving it Demian by Herman Hesse is still my favorite, I keep reading it again because it's incorporated into the music videos and theories and the storyline of BTS
Ughh! I was cheering so hard when you mentioned The Secret Life Of Trees ! I am one who is interested in science and also feels deeply connected to nature, this book* allows you to contemplate this crucial part of nature and their place in the cycle of life ♡ Thank you Cari for recommending this book. I reccomend it too
The way you talked about “The Hidden Life of Trees” made me think you would really enjoy “The Overstory” by Richard Powers! “The Hidden Life of Trees” actually heavily inspired the author to write the novel, and the book/author is even fictionalized in the story! Highly recommend if you want to fall even deeper in love with trees and the power of nature.
I tried so hard to get into it but i think it wasnt the right time for me. So many people have said i’d love it so i know i will, just needs to click at the right time hehe (now if only the hold list at the library for it wasnt so dang long!!!)
I also found the first section (The Roots, I think?) difficult to get into, but moving through into the mid section I found it really captivating. Looking back I really love the first section now, but I think that is due to the growth in the rest of the novel. Definitely not a binge read for me, but I suggest picking it up again when you get a chance!
It’s funny you made this video bc in 2020 I’ve slowly been reading Namjoon’s recommendations! Namjoon actually got me into art history so I’ve been reading textbooks about that and not much fiction that he’s read.
I love how we all had the same idea to send you the list way before the new channel 😂🧡 I just recently reread Kafka on the Shore and to be honest it's not one of my favourites as well, so my little recommendation would be besides the shorts, Norwegian Woods, as this is his attempt at a "classic novel". I am so excited to go through your list as my first video of yours was the Murakami Coffees one 😅🙌✨
Wow I'm German and we read Hesse in school (Demian specifically really reignited my love for reading in my late teens) and I had no idea he is known outside of German speaking countries at all, how interesting.
I don’t live in Korea but I have a Korean mother, and apparently as a child she was taught about many German writers and philosophers at school! I think it’s so cool
Paul's memoir was extremely moving and well written. It was a roller coaster of emotions for me and made me realize how life is so uncertain. It was worth the read. I definitely cried when reading it too.
i dont why but somehow i got emotional watching this video of yours. reading for me has always been an escape and a therapy. and seeing someone like you genuinely devouring passages, made me realized that there is really something magical and ineffable in reading books. btw, murakami got me into reading. such a genius!
Cari your channel is quickly becoming one of my absolute favourite booktube channels! I loved how you recommended books you think Namjoon would like too (he really should watch this video🙈) and didn't just read his recommendations, it made the video even more interesting. I can't wait to give these books a go myself😊Sending you lots of love
I just read "All these wonders" (because you recomennded it) and I have no words for this book. It made me cry a lot, but it also gives you so much hope and strength. It was just wonderful! I`ve already started the second book. Thank you so much for this recommendation! I would never ever have found these books without you.
Maybe you already know, Namjoon said that he was taught a lot after reading . He always tries to understand people who are in different circumstances from him😭 how respectful!
You were one of the driving forces behind my Murakami obsession! I have read almost all of his longer books and now have to add the short stories to the list 🧚
I only know a handful people who get emotional about books like this.. which makes me emotional 😭 we need more people in the world like this #readingforempathy

So far my favorites are 'The Court Dancer' and 'Pachinko', but l had to do some historical reading first to fully appreciate them 😅
Yellow* Sage * I love “Pachinko” so much!
@@user-hb4zz4gh5e Honestly, I was just so blown away by the generational story and the whole historical side. I wish someone credible will make it into a movie. It will be epic.
Yellow* Sage * Do you think it would be better as a film, or a short series?
The mission now is to find Namjoon's secret account in the comments
lol btw this is such a cool vid idea gurl u really up there as my fav booktuber AND youtuber.

Hugs from germany :)
PS: writing in books is the best!
Hehe thank you!!
The literary references are because Namjoon is the main lyrics writer and producer, and as you saw he reads a lot of literature books.
@@lonelydream3584 Oh I didn't know, but that makes sense, thanks :)
@@katk2265 welcome!
Demian by Hesse is the basis for Wings. I found some of the quotes Joon says in the videos, in the book.
💯
Hey! Could you recommend me one of his books?
@@박유라-p3g If you are into short stories, I would recommend The Elephant Vanishes. If not, The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle (this is one of my favs!). Both books have a lot of typical Murakami elements, they're great!
Ana Thank you! I’ll make sure to check them out!
@@박유라-p3g Hope you like it!
Ngl you and namjoon are the only reason I have good taste in books 😂
LMAO glad we could help hehe
True ! I never know what to read and now I have a complete list 💜 (my best friend help me too, I stop reading because to study but now I will have more time )
Yeah Namjoon would go crazy over the trees book!! The first time you mentioned I already thought about him 😅
Hahhaha we love people who love trees 🌱
I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT BOOKS, THE SMELL, THE FEELING OF PAPER, but I find it sooo hard to bring myself to read a book, no matter how interesting I find it.
Ieva Č you might want to stop using social media or your phone very often. I saw a study that says most people who find it hard to sit down and read a book is because they got used to the fast paced nature of media consumption nowadays.
Ohoud interesting I’m going to keep that in mind
Yeah I get that sometimes. But once you just sit down and start it’s amazing. What stops me is my phone. So if I can put it in a diff room or plug it in or play music on it and not touch it then I can start reading.
I just knew Cari and Joonie are siblings in other reality. 💕💜 Two of the people I admire... I am crying real tears. 😭😩
1:28 The quote that I engraved in my heart.
:')
I want to recommend Namjoon some poem books so we can talk about them while having a picnic 🥺
can u recommend me pls, I'm a joon stan does that count? 🥺
Tamara Villalobos omg sure I really recommend reading the two books that Rubi Kaur has. They do talk about some heavy topics so please be careful since it’s about her life which it’s really cool. You will enjoy them
That's some goals 🥺
Also I love Rupi Kaur too, Milk and Honey is AMAZING.
@@tamaravillalobos4461 I think you should read poems by Juan Luis Borges, he is an argentinian author and his poems are so sweet and wise!

Namjoon once recommended Almost Transparent Blue, he's been bashed for it, but I found the book interesting
he has been bashed for it? :( omg!
What’s the book about? I’ve never heard of it.
It's about a small group of young people into sex, drugs, and rock n roll in 1960s Japan.
@@irmakonecny1154 why was he bashed for? The story seems interesting!
@@lauraaa3049 antis tried to say it was rape porn, it's not. There are 2 group sex scenes, but zero rape. The rumor was started by people who obviously never read the book, this is why I decided to read it.
Fun fact Demian is the inspiratiom in the story line of some music videos of BTS✨

hehe glad we could help ;)
the way you experience each book and talk about them is so beautiful. thank you for inspiring me to get back into reading!!
I'm currently reading Human Acts and accidentally found this video, glad to know that it's one on Namjoon's book lists as I adore him so much 😅 thanks for the review, it answers my confusion at the beginning of the book especially when the point of view is changed!
Namjoon is a whole aesthetic for me. From clothes to art to reading to lifestyle everything!
I'm commenting again but, I just got to the part where u talk about "When breath becomes air " And I just, started crying so yep, will definitely read this one,,
Yeah its a tough one to get through 🤧
I have been watching a few of these "Read like Namjoon" videos and, being a reader and BTS fan myself, am thinking of choosing one of these to put on my channel too.
This was a great idea! Loved it so much and will def read Kim Jiyoung born 1982 vv soon

oh my god cari this video idea is a DREAM thankyou for this big brain with big brain collaboration. i love you and your videos make my quarantine a lot more bearable, thankyou.
bahahhaahah thank YOU!!! we can get through this!
When I first saw Namjoon's rec list. I stopped working for a minute because i had already read some of them. And they are so deep..
The uprising was sort of a culmination of yeeeeears of mistreatment by dictators so its hard to grasp and im still learning things all the time 🙏
omg i’m new viewer and just so happen to be a major bts fan girl🤭 when i saw the title i screamed
This is so crazy I literally just bought one of the books on this list earlier on today and its sitting on my desk as I'm watching this video !! Cannot wait to read it even more now ❤️️ ❤️️
yesssss perfect timing!!
I have been waiting for this moment FOREVER
😂 i am here for youuu!
Her work is very famous for that and also very unique, she has books translated to english and i think you would like it a lot! here are some my favorite of books of her that have eng trans: “Passion according to G.H” “The Hour Of The Star” “Agua Viva” :))
tysm for this books. i can’t wait to read and get a feel of what namjoon reads.
Someone: talks about books
Me: subscribes as fast as Suga's rap
i'm not a k-pop fan and i don't even know this guys but he seems pretty cool based on this ^^
An hour conservation with RM will help us to live n survive positively for next 6 months
the film adaptation of Never Let Me Go literally changed my life and I finally bought a copy of the book this month. I’m so excited to dive into it but I know I’ll be crying through the entire thing
I ugly sobbed through that film hahhaha
I already have so many book on my reading list, but I guess I'll be adding more lol

Ok but like your so pretty you looked like a Disney character

🥰 thanks for watching!
Also Namjoon, if you’re watching this (😂), lemme know if you wanna start a book club 🤓

I specifically read 1Q84 after seeing it recommended by RM and I still have zero idea what just happened (in the best way)
hahahah exactly!
Can I just say, your ability to communicate the premise of a book with so much thought is pretty amazing. I've never been more intrigued to read books I've never heard of before. Ugh. So good
Thank you so much!!
I'm terrified of death so I'm definitely going to read When Breath Becomes Air. Also, Demian is one of my favorite books!! If you like Hesse's work I can recommend his book The Prodigy and Steppenwolf
🙏🙏🙏
I have been so afraid of death since I was child, still am. I remember talking about it with my mom and stuff but I still think about it probably every week and I'll read this book first thing in the morning ♥️💜
When breath becomes air is one of my favorite books ever! Had to hide my tears while reading in the bus

BTS is the reason my bookshelf is filled and I'm loving it
Demian by Herman Hesse is still my favorite, I keep reading it again because it's incorporated into the music videos and theories and the storyline of BTS
Hermann Hesse is one of THE most famous, older authors/poetry writers in and from Germany :) we even studied him when I was still in school
Im namjooning right now
🧡🧡🧡
Never let me go is honestly one of the best books I think I have ever read!! Looking forward to reading some of these other recs!
He and Goethe are popular
Paul's memoir was extremely moving and well written. It was a roller coaster of emotions for me and made me realize how life is so uncertain. It was worth the read. I definitely cried when reading it too.
I love the way you talk about books
i dont why but somehow i got emotional watching this video of yours. reading for me has always been an escape and a therapy. and seeing someone like you genuinely devouring passages, made me realized that there is really something magical and ineffable in reading books. btw, murakami got me into reading. such a genius!
