Edinburgh is still thriving….Glasgow has been destroyed thanks to the snp….Glasgow city centre has 2 streets now….it’s dirty….shops are closing every day….Sauchiehall streets is finished….and full of young men from other countries….while Edinburgh is jumping.
I used to go to Edinburgh in the 90s for work. It's a beautiful city but I found it really unfriendly. Not all were like that but a lot seemed to dislike the English.
These days, Edinburgh possibly has the highest proportion of people born in England living in it than perhaps any other city in the world outside of England itself - so everyone is welcome. It was a very different city in the 1990s though.
