Naw, this is "tame" compared to US Soaps. On Another World 13 Actors played James "Jamie" Frame, 13 played Tom Hughes on As The World Turns and 13 played Patti on Search For Tomorrow. They were all owned by Proctor & Gamble. When I think of Ben I think of Christina Blake Bauer on Guiding Light played by Four Different Actresses. Cheryl Lynn Brown (who was called Chrissy) then Elizabeth Denehy (Brian's Daughter) who returned as Blake Lindsay. Her "Real" Father Roger Thorpe was the Town Villian. Then Sherry Stringfield who would later act on ER and NYPD Blue and Liz Keifer who made her bones on The Young & The Restless, General Hosptial (That Megan Markle was on), Days Of Our Lives and One Life To Live. She played her from 1992-2009 until it's Cancellation. You may have seen her on the Webseries Venice. Another person that had Four Recasting was Tracy Barlow on Coronation Street not to mention Thorne Forrester on The Bold & The Beautiful. Clayton Norcross (1987-1989), Jeff Trachta (1989-1996) who took time off to play Danny Zuko in Grease, Winsor Harmon (1996-2016) and Ingo Rademacher (2017-2019) but returned to General Hospital.
Max Bowden’s Ben is already more iconic than all the other bens combined. His one-liners are so funny and Max delivers them perfectly every time.The same with the more serious moments. He’s an amazing actor!
I always thought the Ben with Paul was a different then the Ben with Callum 🤣🤣 but it’s the same, omg the actor change changed the whole character of Ben.
Respect to them all for contributing important, well-played, iconic moments to the lore of Ben. That said--for me, when I think of Ben Mitchell, the first actor to come to mind is always Harry Reid, because he really made the part his own, and gave the most. Plus, he had the hardest job; adolescence/young manhood is always the most dramatic turbulent time for a person, and Harry to to guide Ben through that and make it believable, which he did with utmost aplomb.
3:16 starts a bit too late, and misses the best part--Ben (Harry Reid) having a heart-to-heart with his crush Johnny Carter (Sam Strike), and then moving to kiss him. Will always be angry that we never got that kiss!
I really had my doubts ab out Max Bowden playing Ben but he's doing such a great job. I find his Chemistry with Tony Bowden (Callum) is much better thanit could have been with Harry Reid. In The US there have been Seven Jills on The Young & The Restless, Three Ashley's Three Johns (One of Which Was A Substitute), Seven Billy's, Two Jacks, and Two Mamies. I live in Canada and we are about Nine Months behind but hey beggars can't be choosers. I saw the Episode where Highway briefly works for Kathy at The Café and Ben is teaching Lola how to Dance. They would haem loved Max Bowden in the US. A lot of those US Soap stars are rhythmically challenged. He could have even done American Bandstand or Soul Train. In the 1990's they did a Promo on CBS using a Song called "Who's That Man" The fellows most danced okay but when Shemar Moore (Ex Malcolm 1994-2004) danced he mopped them all off the stage.

Charlie and Josh yes. Harry I'd say felt the best fit as Ben, but as a pure actor Max is the best.
