Hello, I just wanted to say that for the last two days all my 2 year old has wanted to watch was videos of your trains! No other videos seem to do, so thank you and keep it up!
Your videos are the only videos that my toddler will watch. He wants to wake up to them and fall asleep to them. And all hours in between. A train is not a train to him without steam.
I absolutely *LOVE* these beautiful steam trains! Since I'm writing a book that has trains as a topic, this is definitely a great thing to listen to for inspiration.
Absolutely stunning photography! This could give Hollywood a run for their money! This is for Q&A later this year: - What Southern Pacific steam locomotive would you like to see run? - Favorite wheel arrangement from the SP? - What makes the Phase 3 Amtrak scheme stand out? - Did you ever go to McCloud or Dunsmuir, CA? - Did you ever hear of the McCloud River RR or the McCloud RR and wanted to go but didn't? - What is the next tourist RR that is on your bucket list? - How many gauges of model trains do you have? - What is your favorite city to film trains within their perimeters? - What is your favorite mainline steam locomotive from the West, Central, and East?
If UP ever gets 3985 up and going again. My dying wish would be to see 4014, 844, and 3985 triple head through the plains together. The true legendary beasts of steam power.
Trains are amazing; I still love them. Traveling by train means seeing nature, people, cities and churches, rivers - in essence it is a journey through life.
@@CoasterFan2105 i love the steam trains especially! Glory days of the old steamers and there is especially one nearby me in durango Colorado. The durango and Silverton
I’m getting to the point I’m watching more steam and steam only model layouts that I’m beginning to hate modern diesels and there lack of variation more and More haha you have to be the largest railfanning channel on TH-cam and your quality is unbelievable thank you
I think this is my all time favorite video! I think that you do a fantastic job. Oh by the way I love steam engines the best. The scenery was awesome in this video. Thank you for sharing. Keep up the great work!
I love your footages of Union Pacific 844 and Pere Marquette 1225! I hope you're doing well during the pandemic. Keep up the good work, Mike! -Andrew Mangalindan
Got to ride in the cab as a small boy when my parents and I went to the Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad. Definitely something I won't soon forget. Also got to see #18's sister train in Bishop, California at the Law's railroad museum! Really cool to see #18 steaming again. Wonderful showcase of steam trains as always! Keep up the phenomenal work and I can't wait for the next one! 🙌
Another amazing Steam Trains Galore episode, Mike! I'm thinking for Episode 9, if there will be a 9th episode that is, one steam train that would LOVE to see would be Big Boy 4014. He's by far my favorite steam train. I actually got to see him last year myself, though the weather could've been better. Anyway, great to see the REAL Polar Express in a Steam Trains Galore video! Nice shots of the highballing 844! The Skookum #7 is just so interesting for it to be an articulated locomotive, It's probably the smallest articulated tender steam locomotive ever. Bravo to you, Mike! And, like you always say, I'll see you down the line!
Thank you so much for these videos! My child keeps saying “beautiful whistle!” lol. Can’t wait to go on some steam train rides again! Miss them so much.
Great video. Reminds me of my wedding day, my wife blowing her whistle shooting hot air all over, me being towed behind on a one way track to misery. Ticket for one please.fml
Hopefully by April of 2021, the U.S Sugar Railroad #148 would be open to the public for people to view. Who knows, maybe even there will be excursions. You should check out that locomotive one day!
I grew up with 844 and I love steam trains since I was 3. Now that I'm 13 I railfan with my family

Fun Fact: SP 4449 was fueled with diesel every time it visited LA until 1992, as Taylor Yard didn't have any crude oil to fuel it with.
Interesting, I never knew that!
A@l)l@)y
Weird, sorry if im complaining but thats weird? How could a steam train run on diesel?
@@thenalups Because a steam engine uses any fuel to heat water, which creates steam.
