So Hyang's transitions are near god-like.....and the power, cleanliness, and consistency in her notes, and the fact that she can hold them for what feels like an eternity in the moment without losing a drip of power, is what gives her the win. Son Seung-Yeon is better compared to Ailee.....the two can sound a lot alike, but against Ailee I'd give Seung-Yeon the win simply because while they both master the deep notes and that "soulfulness" a lot of Korean singers can't grasp, Seung-Yeon is able to completely alter how she sounds, has more power in her vocal abilities, AND hit notes that So Hyang hits. Ailee can't hit some of those whistle register notes, and while Seung-Yeon can't hold them as long as So Hyang, nor can she deliver the consistent power So Hyang does in those notes, she can at least hit them accurately, and her voice has much more dimension to it than Ailees. It's funny, when I first heard Ailee I never imagined myself saying so many people top her. She's an amazing talent, but it just goes to show you how astonishing both So Hyang and Seung-Yeon are if they can make mince meat of Ailee.... Okay maybe not mince meat, but you get my point :P
My top two favorite Korean singers. I met Sohyang personally twice, and I hope to meet Son Seungyeon in person some day. I was hoping to see a comparison when Son Seungyeon performs "Forbidden Love" but I guess not this time.
I know that it's subjective but so hyang can be pretty annoying for me to listen to in a long time or daily basis because of her tone. I don't have the same problem with son. So hyang is amazing in terms of her techniques and generally amazing vocal jump techniques but on daily basis I won't listen to her lol

Both are incredible Full-Lyric Soprano's (MAYBE Seung) Is a heavier one like a Spinto. But either way.. Both have amazing, gorgeous and powerful voices. I personally like Sohyang more. But i also truely love listening and watching Seung. She is so good.
