I work in a team of 8 electrician's we don't own one between us you can get them for around £40 but they are a waste of time we just cut them off flush so no sharp edges

I worked for a Home Builder in San Antonio, Texas called "Imagine Homes", and they used that "Manabloc" at 1:37. It's basically a circuit-breaker for your homes plumbing. One of the benefits of it is that the point of failures in most piping is at the junction of one pipe with another, and that's at every bend. This stuff just bends and isn't two pipes joined together, so it has some benefits in that regard. Also, I had a faintly leaky faucet on my master-bath tub -- which is a garden tub -- and there is no way to turn the water off to that unit without turning off water to the entire house. So I went out to the street curb and turned off the water and then replaced the 'cartridge' in the handle, and that was that. With the Manabloc, I could've gone into the garage and turned off just that one pipe. I don't know what the downsides of the unit are.
I have now moved to a different company so before in my previous company I was a service technician basically I will find water leaks in houses and this unit is by far one of the best money making for our company there was a large complex of condominiums that were built with this specific device and some other ones that were retrofitted and believe me after a year and a half we were already getting late from this because it is a generally not properly operated and b any extra pressure generally cracks again is a brilliant product do not get me wrong unfortunately it is prone to a lot of fails

I also speculate that an advantage would be adding plumbing fixtures, since one would simply be "snaking wire" to do it. I don't know if they dry-rotted or not. I have heard that RVs use a similar system -- tubes versus pipes -- and that they break easily and/or dry-rot while in long-term storage. But I have heard from my boss (so take that for what it's worth) that we weren't using the same materials, just a similar system. I just don't know what it's like long-term. I was only sharing that I had seen this system "in-the-wild".

I call BS on the water device saving people 21 days a year on waiting for hot water from their taps. That is 504 hours, or about 83 minutes a day. If you're running your taps 83 minutes a day, EVERY DAY, just to get hot water, there is something terribly wrong with your heater, and you are wasting enormous amounts of water.
The exothermic welding is fantastic! I've used it hundreds of times as an apprentice electrician and it is a dream to work with. The version we used had an electric igniter and used pre-made cups of thermite to do the weld. Awesome stuff!

Looked like a giant spider web all over the ground before we buried it. We also welded them to the steel i-beams inside the building. It was serious overkill. But I guess that's normal for a data center.
We do cald welding a lot when someone puts the footer bond in the wrong place and have to extend it to the correct location. I love how this video talks like it's some new technology.

It's a distribution manifold, basically like a breaker box for water. No idea how it can save you money, its just a bunch of on/off valves. You will use the same amount of water if you have one or not.

I just use my lineman’s pliers but instead of cutting them leaving a sharp end, I twist them off at the buckle leaving a smooth edge. Try it before you criticize… You are welcome.
The Viega ManaBloc is not from Germany. It's from a company in the US. Colorado to be more precise. Look it up. And it's just a distribution block for hot and cold water. How does that save water? It distributes water. Nothing more.

Especially as they cut flush.. some guys trim them at 45 degrees with cutters, these are really sharp, I've had some pretty nasty cuts from them. We never used them in communications wiring. They can damage wires. Most wires were tied with waxed string.

We use it at my job called caldwelding. Same process but we usually use it to weld below grade 750mcm to 4/0 ground cables. Very cool.
