Only recently discovered this amazing singer/songwriter via TH-cam clip of Only The Very Best. Now a huge fan, what can I say? Beautiful voice, wonderful musical skills; he sings with such emotion. Formidable!
There is nothing like wiping off the dust an old song only to discover that the song isn't very old at all. In the hands of a singer-pianist like Peter Kingsbery "Black Is Black" maintains its place as a classic. Interpreted entirely different from its original -- it's what makes music so terrific. Maybe we as humans should learn a lesson here: be like a song -- keep looking for new ways to be worth singing again. Kingsbery should be further up the ladder of fame and recognition -- that's for sure. He started out great in Cock Robin in the 80's and now he continues to show just how diversified and mature he really is. Excellent performance.
