    Love your video, very professionally and artistically done. All footage is incredible. It looks like you had a great encounter with a thresher shark. Thank you for sharing.

      I am humbled by your kind words and genuinely overwhelmed by your fantastic reviews . This video is one of my favorites and was time consuming , i am so glad that you like it. The thresher shark was indeed one of the highlights of the trip . Very shy and yet so elegant . Thank you for watching Val.

      Hi Yann, thanks for your reply. I am definitely considering trip to Philippines or possibly Komodo.
      I see you list dive sites at the end i will try to check their geographical location.
      Did you dive from a liveaboard and what time of the year did you visit? Is underwater footage from multiple cameras/ people?
      Thanks

    • @SearenityQuest
      @SearenityQuest  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi World Explorer . You really should consider this trip as you will be amazed by the variety of marine life( Komodo should also be on your bucket list) .Diving from a liveaboard is the only sensible way to explore such a vast area ( Visayas) . We did the trip last February . All the underwater footage is from one camcorder and shot by myself . Thanks for your interest . Feel free if you have other questions . Take care

      Can you tell me what liveaboard were you on ?
      Would you recommend it? I will definitely research Philippines.
      Are you still using AX100?
      Thanks and you take care as well

      @SearenityQuest  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello@@czele123 . We were on the Seadoors but i would recommend this boat for French speaking guests only. Some friends of mine did the Visayas with the Infiniti and they loved absolutely everything about this boat and crew. Discovery Palawan has good reviews too . Now , if you choose to go to Tubbataha , then Solitude One is the boat you want , comfy and very large diving deck . Yes still with the AX100 and Gates housing

Working on those videos is time consuming and nerve wrecking but when i read your outstanding comments , it makes it worth it. I cannot thank you enough for your words of praise . I agree with you about the thresher sharks . I love those animals and i have seen quite a lot of them but the Thresher is the most graceful of them all. Just like you I was there 2 years ago ,on the Seadoors. One again Eric, thank you from the depths of my heart.

      @@SearenityQuest Hi again Yann. Glad you like the comment. My wife dives with a Sony Nex and Nauticam housing so we have an eye for framing shots and I particularly like getting the odd bit of dive kit or preperation in a photo to set the underwater photos up. My wife's the photographs though. So your regs image caught my eye. We did two resorts when we went to the Philippines. Alona beach and Moalboal. Many years ago but we particularly liked be Alona beach area and Balicasag where we had a lovely encounter with loads of barracudas. Lovely memories.

    Hi again dear Yann
    Super beautiful video... again :)
    If I have to start with just one lens, what would you think is most important?
    I thought about either a fisheye 8mm, a telezoom 7-14mm, or a macro 60mm lens. It might be the telezoom to go for, right?
    Thank you so much, and keep them videos coming :D

      Hi Morten. Thanks again for your nice comment .The question you are asking is a tricky one and i am afraid the answer depends on what kind of footage you wanna get and the results you want to achieve.As you already know diving Socorro will require different photo/video equipment than diving Lembeh . I am not personally fond of fisheye lenses because of the visual distortions they produce (matter of taste) . Split shots can be very artistic but that's about the only effects i like about them , again this is a personal opinion . Ideally and in order to get the best of both worlds , you should own both wide angle and macro prime lenses but then again , it will be costly . I would go for the 7-14mm as you can get shoot both big stuff (pelagic) and landscapes with good results . Take care Morten

      @@SearenityQuest Excactly my thoughts. The fish eye looks very interesting - sometimes - and other times it looks like a bad version of flat 3D. Gonna make some moneyyyyy first :D Thanks for the inpiration Yann! It is great to see you grow creatively, experiment and find your own style. well done for all the hours of hard work, it definitely paid off and shows how much love you put into it! One of my favourite parts starts at 8:00 and 3.30 wow ?. It is sad to think that we are destroying all that beauty. Also, yes it can take a bit for the option of a higher resolution, (especially with such a big artistry :p).
