I would've competed for that island. There's a 1 in 9 chance of winning the $1.8MM vs. A 1 in 52 chance (the winner lf the island continues playing) of winning the $4.56MM. It's a no-brainer for me. Even, if I got eliminated, the odds are just way too good.
Daphne intentionally caused people to lose their place in the count. Although within the rules, it was a very aggressive move, and not very smart, since it didn’t improve her chance of winning anything. Even though she was crazy lucky to get picked to the island, a number of people will not hesitate to eliminate her in a future challenge if given the chance. She put a target on herself for no good reason. We’ll see if her dumb luck continues to allow her to move forward in the games.
9:19 I’ve thought about this quite a bit and while it is a competition, the way she attempted to sabotage people only led to more people giving up on trying which probably lead to less people eliminated (than if she had just kept silent). On top of her odds now being slightly worse, this is a very social game and what will bring you far is if people respect how you’ve played the game. She just made over a hundred people dislike like her for no gain. She’s very lucky that Jeremy felt compelled to give her a ticket because he now had her name/face on his mind due to how vocal she had been in these games.
Yea that’s is true. And I kinda realized the same thing as you after filming this video. She probably saved more people than eliminated. I heard a lot of people say they are glad she did that because they were going to hold the ball for a little longer and if she never would have started yelling and made them drop there ball, they would have been out 😭
