@@wewrench I have experience with replacing the entire thing. It helps alot but it's not exactly a perfect solution for the problem and it still might scrape the hood. Problem is made from the factory, not enough clearance. Perhaps replacing it and grinding off some material from the wiper arm would be more of a permanent fix...
Wow how have I not seen this earlier even searching for e34 m5 content? Considering the view count I had no expectations for this video but was positively surprised at how good the video is. I have an e34 535i manual so not quite m5. I have so far partly restored mine (mainly a new paint job and complete rear axle refurbishment) Super stoked to see some more M5 content, thanks!
Thank you for the feedback! I’m still trying my best to get noticed out there. TH-cam is a crowded place! But hopefully with more fans like yourself, I’ll get noticed!

The M-Parallels are also period correct. In fact, the e34 M5 3.8 was the first BMW with M-Pars. Get new doors, quarters and gas tank from the sun-belt area. New right rear quarter needed.
Hi Michael, I'm gonna subscribe to this channel. I do own a 1992 E34 M5 myself. Since mine is the Euro spec version I have a 3.8 liter with 340 horse power. Yes, in Europe we also had a few more horsepower. The 3.6 had 315 horsepower in Europe, as opposed to 310 in the US. Please consider taking a look a some of my M5 videos 🙂 Greetings from Norway
The e34 doorhandles are bloody horrible ive got one of my own an E34 524td a bit rare and 2 out of the 4 door handles keep sticking to the point where it just gets stuck planning to replace them soon
Wow. Great overview of the car. So as far as rust repair, would you have to strip the car down to the body/frame and then repair the rust? Or are you able to do it in sections with most of the parts still in the car? Excited to watch the entire journey!
I'm going to remove everything inside the car except for the dashboard to assess the rust first. I have a feeling that the firewall is ok and the rust is mainly at the bottom of the car, but we'll see. Thanks for your support!

It had 193,000 miles when he traded it in cus the maintenance was getting too much. I ran into him about 5 months later at Dunkin. I literally pulled up next to him in his new A6 and he was so happy I was keeping it alive. That was 18 years ago!
It is a early 1992? 3.6? Why are you talking about dual mass flywheel? 3.6 has single mas fly wheel. 1992b 3.8 has dual. It has 3.8 wheels, are you going to get 3.6 wheels?
It has a build date of 10/1991 so it’s an early US spec 1992. I looked in the parts system and it says “twin mass flywheel” in the heading, but the part just says “flywheel” so I could be mistaken. As far as the wheels go…these wheels came standard on 1993 US spec M5’s so I guess they can technically be called 3.6 wheels. Are you from overseas?

Mautitius Blue and Daytona violet are always been regarded as the most rare colours on the E34 M5, then again, when i was in BMW-center in Munich last december they came wit other stats: the E34 M5 has been sprayed most rarely in the following colours: Alpine Weiss 2, Schwarz 2,(non-metallic) and Calypso Red (metallic), all the othet colours could be ordered besides the normal colour-pallet ,but that does not neccisarily mean they are or were “rare”
