Hello! As far as I am aware, this would be possible with using an infinite looping arpeggiator and a note length midi device. Seeing as a note can only hold for 60 seconds at a time, the looping would not only last longer than 60s, but if you stop the project, the lights would also turn off as opposed to staying on for the time they have left. Alternatively, if you map a button to a parameter in Live, the launchpad will actually light up to show this. So you could actually MIDI assign a button in user 1 mode to a session clip, and it would light up when playing :)
hey, I have a Launchpad pro and I want my lightshows to play in order of how they are set in the chords. for some unknown reason, the lights will go in the order that consists of up and down but for my lightshows I want them to do a bit of both. for example I want to start on the bottom left button on the top left quadrant (so the top left of the middle 4) and I want it to travel upwards then left then downwards and finally to the right going back to the start. my problem is that by default ableton follows the x and y axis in a very strict manor and makes the lights (assuming the arpeggiator style is set to up) go -x -y and then +x and +y which means instead of the lights travelling the outline of the top left square in order, they go left then down then right then up which looks messed up and all over the place. I can understand if you are confused by this explanation but if you are please don't hesitate to add me on Skype so I can show you visually what I mean and if there is anyway you can help me solve this problem. my Skype name is "cracklieapple" no caps (people keep putting in caps even after reading it :p" Thankyou :)

+COLiSHUN This seems to be an issue. The only way to get white lights in Ableton is by making the on colour in the MF Utility white. This will allow you to set the low velocities (like velocity 1 - 7) to white for lights. But, then in every other colour velocity, the light will very quickly flash white first. Its a little annoying that it does it, but it seems to be the only way to fix it.
Could you make a tutorial on how to quickly split samples for a launchpad cover? I have a feeling the way I do it is a bit old school and slow:S Thanks:)
SoMiracleAV1 For the most part I just do it by pressing CTRL + E to split a sample, and then use Drum Racks, Choke, and some effects to make it flow together. I don't really do it much anymore though, as I want to move to originals/remixes rather than covers. But, I will see what I can do :P
