So as long as you download the exact model of your phone, you can choose a different model to downgrade it to?
Before downgrading to 12.5, did you have a problem with Xiaomi note 10 pro camera? And when you did the downgrade did your camera worked?
Mannnnn it actually works...watched a guy doing exact steps to go from android 11 to 10 but comments were saying it didnt work ...so i tried from MIUI 12.5.4 to 12.5.2 and now my mobile feels a lot faster ...I'm using poco m3 ... Appreciate ur help thanks bro❤🤞
I'm having a pain I have to unlock the bootloader which takes a process of 7 days once unlocked I have to update via fastboot ROM PC just to downgrade my miui 13.0.2 to 12.9, I just want to use my PS5 controller on cod mobile and freaking miui 13 won't let me😭😭😭😭😭😭I wish I didn't update.
im doing all this through TH-cam tutorials no experience it's tough I want to die during the process.
I know it's for custom roms but it is the only way to rollback I'm using Poco m4 pro 5g 6gb ram global.

In my case it shows only "update" not "reboot and update". Also, when I click the update button, seconds later, it will say "can't install package" or something like that. What should I do?

Does this solve the auto recovery problem? (I mean the problem when you reboot your phone and it reboots to recovery instead in the system and it doesn't boot untill data wipe)
Honestly I have no idea...that sounds like a separate problem.
I have followed the procedures, however, after have changed the filename and then proceeding to update it says it couldn't verify the update package
I downloaded the files and made a folder but the files aren't coming in the 'choose update package'

It seems that everyone is having a hard time after the miui 13 update. I updated mine and I had a compatibility issue with my game controller. Now, I am a bit hesitant to do this as it might wipe out all of my files clean and I am so lazy to make a backup. lol

No not at all....my selfie camera still doesn't work but apparently it's a hardware issue which I didn't mention in the video because I only figured that out afterwords

Everything went smooth till I got to renaming and followed the instructions then I went back to the update screen and it said couldn't verify update package
In my Poco M3 Pro 5G, it says "can't update the package"
I did exactly as you did in the video. Mine is MIUI Global Version and It didnt fool the system. It just says "Can't verify update. Can't downgrade ROM version"
Did download both versions of MiUi....that being the current version your on and the one you want to downgrade to....and be sure you selected the current version ROM your on first then rename the old version to the current name

It performs better than before...my selfie camera somehow still doesn't want to work when I need it and ten camera app still crashes after taking a picture....but I do get OTA Updates the only redeeming quality of this downgrade is that the device performs much better than on 13

Thanks for this guide. Though after I followed this guide step by step, my redmi note 9 got hard bricked (Infinite loop and can't access fastboot), thankfully I found a guide which only unbricks Redmi Note 9 phones, and my phone is now working and back to MIUI 12.5. I am not blaming him for what happened as he said "he is no professional" and "take what he is saying with a grain of salt." So before you do any of this guide make sure you know what you're doing. Do this at your OWN risk.

thanks, I just downgraded my redmi note 10 pro from miui 14 to 12 successfully today. But what I noticed is for it to work, make sure you downgraded to the miui version that originally came with your phone.
