    That's a lot of good knowledge there! Lots of the stuff that you are showing your solutions to, they are my issues at the moment with the the X01, I started building it a long time ago, but took it apart to make it nicer, so now I need to sort lights and battery and a lot of stuff, ha ha!
    I subscribed, so I'll be checking some more of your videos soon.

    Thinking about tacking one of these this winter I have a k989 2 s that I think should fit perfectly in there as it’s made for 32/ scale cars . Hopefully it goes off without a hitch I might buy some aluminum parts as well

    I removed the receiver case, it gave me a lot more room to fit inside the cage, and I'm going to put the light board under the hood area and above the front diff housing, I hope.

    Hello. Congrats for the video. Can you help me? I am building a truck 8x8 with Orlandoo base, are the wheels of the Rock Bouncer compatible with the Orlando Jeep axles? Thanks in advance.

      Yes, they are - same mounting system.
      But they are larger, so they are not (or hardly) compatible with the Jeep body, will rub.

      What tools do you mean? The Screwdrivers? Those are tools from German companies Wiha and Wera.
      You can get them in most tool shops here in my country. You can also get them on Amazon (but this is Amazon.de - so do not know if "your" Amazon also does have those).

    Hey so you mentioned you put a 3,000 rpm motor in yours instead of the 200-300 rpm motor, does your faster motor have just as much or more torque as one of the lower speed motors? Or does it even matter at this scale lol. Curious because I wanted one of these from tiny4x4 but other ones i've seen are super slow. I want mine to be a bit faster but also still be able to climb steep hills!

    • @donaldsneffe
      @donaldsneffe  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The motor for sure will have less torque. But There is no comparison for me. You see it is really fast, so no slow crawling. Maybe buy 1000 and 2000 rpm, motors are cheap, and see what you prefer.
      I really do not know how 200 and 300 compare to 1000 and 2000, cannot understand this different labelling of the motors by Orlandoo. I do only have the 3000 from the ""new ones", and all other are "old ones" (200,, 300, etc.).

    Im currently wondering why my 3000rpm motor seems to have no punch. It really can be stopped by a bump in carpet. It gathers speed slow it doesnt even seem like its trying.

    • @donaldsneffe
      @donaldsneffe  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmmm... donno. Could be a bad motor or a bad ESC (or, unlikely, a super bad, nearly dead Lipo), problems in the drive train (does not move freely)? I assume throttle Dual Rate is 100% on your radio?

    This is like my 3rd time watching this video. I haven't put my x01 together so my question is: could I put the 300rpm motor gears on to the 3000rpm motor? That way I can have crawl speed and top speed? And is there a picture for reference regarding the parallel diodes that you installed to lower the voltage that the 2.2 servo? I'm clueless when it comes to electronics but I can follow instructions.

    • @donaldsneffe
      @donaldsneffe  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think, those motors are all the same, only gearbox makes them 3000 or 300 rpm. So if you would put the 300 rpm motor gearbox to the 3000 rpm motor you would again have a 300 rpm motor.
      A diode reduces voltage for about 0.7 V. It is simply soldered in between the power wire (I used plus), similar to a resistor. Not in parallel.

      @@donaldsneffe thank you for the reply. Do you know if double steering (2 servos) can be used with the orlandoo D4L transmitter and esc?

    • @donaldsneffe
      @donaldsneffe  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@luisLP5752 There is only 1 servo port.
      But you can always use 2 servos on 1 port, in parallel, using a y-cable (or connecting the wires of the 2 servos).
      But then there could be a problem with servo direction.
      If one of the servos has wrong direction for your setup, you cannot simply reverse it by radio (Ch-1 reverse).
      But there would also be a solution for this - trying different servo types (with different direction) or changing servo direction in the servo (changing position of motor wires and outer 2 (of 3) wires of the potentiometer inside the servo).
      There would be also "servo reverse units" to buy, but probably too large for Orlandoo...
