A Breaking Point? Chicago Struggles to Serve a Flood of Migrants

- Chicago's mayor says the migrant surge in Texas and Gov. Greg Abbott's policies have pushed his city to the breaking point and he's pleading with Congress for help.
In December, U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported more than 300,000 migrants crossed the Mexico border. Many have landed in Chicago, courtesy of Abbott who has bused and flown them to Chicago, New York, Denver, and other sanctuary cities, partially in protest of President Joe Biden's immigration policies and partially because the state has been overwhelmed by the migrant crisis. For many migrants, churches and ministries have become a lifeline.
On Chicago's west side on a cold January morning, migrants and asylum seekers sit waiting for a hot breakfast and donated clothing at Catholic Parishes of Oak Park Ministry.

We Americans have to help each other. Our govt is only interested in helping themselves to the public treasury (tax dollars) and their pet projects.

Myself and my 14 year old son, AMERICAN citizens will be on the street, living in my car, in less than 2 weeks. I lost my engineering job because of refusal to vaccinate and cannot find another for the life of me (I'm 60 years old, single dad). We burned thru my life's savings to keep my son stable in school the past 2+ years where he is nearly straight A's. All around us "migrants" are moving in... we're moving out. Something is seriously wrong in our nation.

Don't give people power based on skin color, take their stances into consideration how it would benefit your community more than just yourself. Biden based his votes on attempting to exploit people's personal interests and not the interests of all people. What has Biden done for the black community?
