I have one of their C308s. Pretty decent g3 build for the price which was about 500 a few years ago. Ive had absolutely no issues with it. I think they were built on Spanish CETME kits IIRC.
Thanks for the look at this cool piece. I have one on layaway, hopefully going to pick it up early March. Have a great Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
9:46 Are you referring to the "bulge" in front of the front sight base? That is the grenade tension ring, which is proper for a military G3 rifle. PTR 91 rifles do not have that grenade tension ring in front of the front sight base, because PTR chose to cut that part off when they were using surplus parts (for whatever reason). That is why their barrels look different. The original HK91 imports back in the day did not have that grenade tension bulge/ring either.
Pro-tip: "922r" regulations refer to firearms imported or assembled for sale from foreign parts, not the components of otherwise legally possessed firearms in the US. Merry Christmas!
After dealing with century arms involving a repair on a rifle with one hundred rounds through it bought new, ill never buy another one of their junk rifles
Century built guns are hit-&-miss, but they have done a lot of imports as well and there are some highly collectible guns out there with the Century stamp on them. So, dont let their name be a deal breaker all the time every time.
Century was also unable to make FALs properly. I've seen many G3s with the wrong bolt headspace. You shoot a few rounds and the cocking handle won't pull back as the bolt is locked up. Springfield fixed the one i had. I've seen it with 2 PTRs and a Springfield. Pitiful manufacturing
My century cetme had a bent firing pin, broken hammer spring, all the internals were covered in rust and I had to drive out the 2 pins that hold the stock on with a hammer and punch. It was completely unserviceable. Century wouldn't reply to my calls or emails so I had to buy all the replacement parts off ebay. I have 3 PTR's and there's no way PTR built this cetme. Save your money and buy a PTR. Century sells crap and doesn't back it up.
Removing your chamber flag is considered modifying your weapon to century

How is the bolt gap??
Ptr actually makes these for century
Hopefully, they fixed the head space issues.
Nice boat anchor.
The need recipt part sucks. MOST recipts the ink fades away in about 2-3 months. What do you do 8 months fown the road?
Just have to scan or photocopy in a hurry, I guess...

This isn’t a CETME it is built with surplus HK91 parts from Portugal.
