Lots of the older Hmong who walk among us today committed serious crimes, including ra pe and murder, in Laos in the 50s 60s and 70s but only a handful of people know of their crimes because Hmong has and will always keep it a secret (npog hmoob tawb quav). Like this guy, after he paid 16 silver bars, if anyone mentions his crime again, he can and will sue that person. So it's hush hush or you'll get sued for telling others about his criminal history. That's why Hmong has the saying, "paub nws lub qe". Once you know of these O Gs history, you'll know it stinks like hell.

I have never heard such a thing. Maybe only hush hush by those willing to take bribes and the inner family/clan. It won't stop the outsiders from talking. From what I know by my elders, a person's reputation is extremely important. Once stained like this guy, he will pretty much be ostracized by Hmong community/society. That's why he said he was having difficulty finding a second wife after the first. Reputable and respectable daughters and their families would look down on him afterward. I figure his second wife only married him because she must come from a poor family and maybe her parents already have a bad rep like druggies or she is orphaned and unwanted. That is how she ended up with him.

I was cooking while listening to this and halfway through I had to run to the hmong store for some coconut milk for my kapoon. I listened while on my way to the store and deadazz put on my earphones and listened to the rest of it while i shopped around. Lmao 😂😂 this story was that intense to me.
