A lac operon would be inducible in:
A. absence of both lactose and glucose
B. presence of both lactose and glucose
C. absence of lactose and presence of glucose
D. presence of lactose and absence of glucose....
can you please tell mam which is the most correct option???

I would say presence of lactose and absense of glucose BECAUSE the enzymes for breakdown of glucose are always presetn, and thus the cell has a source of energy (which eliminates optiond D). Option A and C are not right because lactose is REQUIRED to induce the operon.
Also, absense of glucose leads to an increase in cAMP which leads to CAP binding to the the receptor free operon, and more volume of the lac enzymes
