You went on the perfect day Chris..farmers cut vegs on Thursday for the weekend market. Everything looked so perfect and fresh. I would make the trip just for the peppers and caimite ☺☺The avocadoes you see there are from the Dominican Republic...quite nice but I prefer my local ones. I hope you stopped by the green shed to get some yummies 😀😀

So so similar to markets here in Lagos. Down to the mystery bottled things. It makes sense but it's still uncanny. ...

The trained chef in me who knows hundreds of dishes from The Jamaica, Cuba, and Meixco to use all these in; the lean gym meal prepper in me who's began using all these fruits and veg because they're vitamin and mineral rich, cheaper, healthier, easier to cook and tastier; and the Farm2Table chef who uses the entire plant or animal and gets everything locally sourced and humanely raised are all dancing at the site of all that beautiful produce right now!
(I was a Quebec food and N'Orleans food trained banquet chef, who knew a few dishes from every culture, and ran banquet kitchens and kitchens out in the alberta oil patch, before I went back to university lol)

Hello Chris! My favourite TH-cam dude lol I absolutely love when you take us on tours of local markets. My question for you, you showed us some scorpion peppers they look very similar to Scotch bonnet pepper in shape & colour aside from the chocolate ones, are they from the same family? I hear they are hotter.
I noticed it is very pricey in Trinidad is there a particular reason?
Thank you again for all your videos.

Here in Mexico, they boil it without removing the shuck. Then they roast it. It is served with mayonnaise, lime, ground chili piquin and grated fresh cheese.
