    I think a better introduction to the desert dungeon would be something like Hamunaptra, from the Mummy. You go further out into the desert and as the sun rises up over in the horizon, the dungeon reveals itself, like a mirage.
    Edit: I love desert biomes in games, movies and any story medium in general. But since moving into a desert, I'll say I prefer living in the cold, snow covered north.

    Bro the editing in this video is amazing, i can tell you had fun with it. Personally I'd like to see a dungeon involving the volcano area. I think instead of the basic volcano dungeon seen in every game, they could have like a big interconnected mineshaft, since the Gorons are miners in the first game. They could even connect it to the caves we've seen in trailers.

      Going back to the caves in a mineshaft sort of environment would be a cool call back. Since they always add a different flavor to reused areas with every new entry, I’d be down to revisit the underground Goron mines!

    The three possibilities I see happening are a dungeon in Lake Hylia, a dungeon in the sky building we saw in the most recent trailer for botw 2, and a dungeon in the pit within the Yiga clan hideout.

    • @AceMonkey

      Ooohhh the pit in the Yiga clan hideout would be cool. And if they brought back Master Khoga, I’d lose it lol

      I’d personally love to see a master Khoga that was more serious and a more difficult challenge

    Two things i gotta say that is inspired by simply watching your video. Dungeons set in malice infected areas, and the idea that... Maybe ganon tried to kill the concept of magic.
    Maybe past ganon killed levias a being thought to be immortal!

    • @AceMonkey
      @AceMonkey  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      A malice infected dungeon or maybe even a dungeon that takes place within the core of Malice!
      But if Ganon tries to do away with magic then wouldn’t he cease to exist?

    • @nzpowa._.6662

      @@AceMonkey imagine jabu jabu but infected with malice.
      And ganon has malice. Something that is(probably not though) older than the magic of hyrule.it could be something that not only infects but also absorbs the magical life force if creatures and beings. And maybe
      Botw 2 is about stopping that infection before magic itself is no more.

    I couldn't watch this video when it first came out, but it was very much worth the wait. All of these ideas are great and I love what you did with the music and editing, it sounds beautiful and very professional. Great job overall, happy to see you upload again!

    Revisiting the great Deku tree sounds like a great idea for an early game dungeon. Also I'm really liking your new revamped look its really awesome.

    I'd like to see a temple under Lake Hylia that incorporates elements from the Water Temple and Lakebed Temple, since they were basically supposed to be the same structure anyway, imo.

    • @AceMonkey
      @AceMonkey  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That could also incorporated underwater travel, that was absent in BOTW. Man... now i want to swim underwater in the next game

    i think all major dungeons are underground while the smaller dungeons are in the sky; the surface of Hyrule will be a place to gather/farm materials, character interactions and side quests.

    • @AceMonkey
      @AceMonkey  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I like that idea! Maybe the smaller dungeons in the sky could also unlock other regions either underground or on the surface.

  • @WintrBorn

    Maybe if they brought back the concept of dungeons leading to upping stats- the shrines were very mini dungeon in concept, so perhaps if the goal of the larger dungeons was an equivalent reward, maybe with some smaller dungeons that were more shrine like for variety.

    • @AceMonkey
      @AceMonkey  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I’d be down for something like that, but I do feel like there has to be a reward equivalent to the tasks that we perform.

    From the moment hyrule castle rose from the ground I speculated about certain other objects and locations rising from below ground. Indeed arbiters ground is one of those locations. Imagine the resurrection and full recovery of the stallord boss only into it’s state before the stal state. And it, before roaming the arbiters ground again, wreak havoc on gerudo town, leaving the little desert village in peril. When you get there you’ll see riju and bularia trying to cope with and supporting the rest of the gerudo in saving each other and helping rebuild the torn down village. They will tell you about arbiters grounds before you finally head over.
    Also think that with the possibility of an underground level, the zonai Boar(power) statues which were buried up to their necks, could rise from the ground an reveal entrances to the underground world. Just a thought though.

    How about the labyrinths being linked in the same way you suggested the springs being linked? How about the great fairies? Idk how the leviathans would play into things, but maybe they could take you to dungeons? Maybe the dragons can too. Maybe a bunch of creatures will. Maybe every dungeon will relate to a difference means of transportation in this further expanded world. Let's hope.

    • @AceMonkey
      @AceMonkey  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Now there is an idea! It would be cool to see all these locations/beings that are far apart connected because they all lead to a dungeon!

    I don't think we will access most of the BOTW 1 map in this game. They have to create a new map somehow (sky islands) because we have explored every inch of BOTW hyrule map already and from a game development standpoint, it wouldn't make sense to have the same map from the previous game using the same landmarks. I think most of the game’s dungeons will be in the floating islands or something underground where Zelda is or both. I know there is footage in the trailer where link seems to be in the main map (Stone Tallus scene) but I think there will be limited sections of the “ground level map” otherwise we would just be getting an enhanced version of BOTW if the reuse the map all with the same locations. Think about it. The map in BOTW is what MADE that game. Having it be a repeat will take away from it. Also, if they do copy it over, what is it going to be filled with? In BOTW most was filled with shrines and deku nuts. They can’t do the same in his one so somethings gotta prevent us from having an open world in the old BOTW map unless it is SIGNIFICANTLY changed (meaning a hyrule from 10,000 years in the past for example).

    • @AceMonkey
      @AceMonkey  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I totally agree with this and honestly don’t know how they are going to do it. I feel they need to continue on with the open world ness that BotW gave us, but having the same over world again would feel very bland. They would have to do a complete overhaul to make it feel fresh, but that seems like a huge task. Maybe they’ll surprise us with a Hyrule that is brand new! We don’t have much info on this, and it’s only speculation at this point, so here’s to hoping Nintendo surprises us once again like they did with BotW!

    • @maxrn3923
      @maxrn3923 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      that's my biggest worry about the sequel... i can't imagine how they would do it. The game would feel like a DLC if the map is mostly the same. How will the Zelda-Team come even close to the magic of BotW?

    I am a zelda fan but I never ever want to go back to the old Zelda Dungeon formula. Never ever. I was a kid when I played OoT the first time, I am 36 now and it was great during that time. The world felt huge and the dungeons were great but if you really think about it, the only dungeon items used alot where the bow, the bombs and the hookshot. We have plenty of bows in botw, we have unlimited bombs and in 2 forms and hookshot is your stamina meter or revalis gale if climbing doesn't do it for you. So how often did really use the old items? 7 times in the entire game? Those items are actually just keys to enter the next dungeon. That's their purpose. If you talk about themed dungeons, then yes that would be great but I don't want the traditional dungeon system back. So please don't say that we want dungeons back if you are a true zelda fan. I am one, but I don't want them back, at least not in the form how it was before.

    • @Paradox-xm9zq
      @Paradox-xm9zq 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No. BotW's "dungeons" (Divine Beasts) suck. The dungeons in previous Zelda games are a good chunk of what made the games so great. We need real dungeons back.

    • @asurawrath7801
      @asurawrath7801 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank god there is a good part of Zelda fans who want to have the good dungeon system back. You don't like the key elements of the Zelda series, fine. But many people clearly miss these things which were the greatest assets of Zelda games which made its series recognizable. Or if it bothers you that much, why did you even play this series in the first place? It's like playing all Soulsborne games and bitching about the difficulty or how each level is deeply connected. Also, the dungeon system existed ever since Zelda 1. I understand people crawling over a more openworld formular but I never understood those hating the traditional dungeon system...

    • @MarshallTheArtist
      @MarshallTheArtist 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@asurawrath7801 you never hated how little you could use the items you earned in the dungeons? Or how contrived they sometimes were? I want all kinds of dungeons, with items I can actually use. There's no reason why we can't have the best of all worlds now, with all of the game design experimentation that's been done now.

    • @MarshallTheArtist
      @MarshallTheArtist 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Paradox-xm9zq Yes, the dungeons were fun, but the items were not reusable enough. Surely you faced such frustration in Ocarina of Time and in Twilight Princess.

    Stop with the 2 links and zelda being playable 1st off everyone doesn't know if 2 links and zelda being playable will even happen so if the creator says no that zelda being playable won't happen and 2 links to then GET OVER IT NOT JOKING
