Thanks for the comment, Alberto. However, the loco is made by Bachmann (not sure if it is based on the Rivarossi model), and seems to be a metal construction (it's heavy), at least the chassis.

Ahh, cool. An American classic. I saw an Amtrak GG1 at our train show last March. I didn't know Amtrak did GG1s.
