I totally agree, as someone from the Netherlands, I been to LA in 2018. My whole life up to that point I kept hearing how great LA and Hollywood is. How amazing it is blabla. My gods it's the most disappointing place I ever been too. Hollywood smells like piss, it stinks so bad. Heard from the tour guide that indeed it smells bad due to all the homeless people, as it's a real big problem and when there is a movie event then they clean up the city, any other time it's just a bad smelling place. It also wasn't as big as I thought it would be, Hollywood that is. The City of LA was nothing special either, sure the beach was nice, but hey I'm European, I'm used to cities that are hundreds, if not thousands of years old with a rich history and actual things to see. Heck I been to New York and that was a great place to be. Plenty to see, a nice park to go to, etc. Las Vegas, same thing, enough things to entertain you or just relaxing at the pool, but LA, meh was a downer. Also I imagined Universal Studios to be bigger...the Movie sets were nice, especially as a Back to the Future fan to see the actual square, even though they changed it a lot, but it was very disapointing otherwise, only a handful of attractions to go in and most of them were 3d movies blergh...and the Jurassic Park ride wasn't open yet as they were remodeling it all for the Jurassic World movies. Yes LA is overrated as Fuck. How people there can think they live in some paradise is beyond me, there are far better places, even within the US to go to.

I totally agree, as someone from the Netherlands, I been to LA in 2018. My whole life up to that point I kept hearing how great LA and Hollywood is. How amazing it is blabla. My gods it's the most disappointing place I ever been too. Hollywood smells like piss, it stinks so bad. Heard from the tour guide that indeed it smells bad due to all the homeless people, as it's a real big problem and when there is a movie event then they clean up the city, any other time it's just a bad smelling place. It also wasn't as big as I thought it would be, Hollywood that is. The City of LA was nothing special either, sure the beach was nice, but hey I'm European, I'm used to cities that are hundreds, if not thousands of years old with a rich history and actual things to see. Heck I been to New York and that was a great place to be. Plenty to see, a nice park to go to, etc. Las Vegas, same thing, enough things to entertain you or just relaxing at the pool, but LA, meh was a downer. Also I imagined Universal Studios to be bigger...the Movie sets were nice, especially as a Back to the Future fan to see the actual square, even though they changed it a lot, but it was very disapointing otherwise, only a handful of attractions to go in and most of them were 3d movies blergh...and the Jurassic Park ride wasn't open yet as they were remodeling it all for the Jurassic World movies. Yes LA is overrated as Fuck. How people there can think they live in some paradise is beyond me, there are far better places, even within the US to go to.
