- Thrift shop with my mom and I for unique vintage and antiques at JJ Antiques Ranch in Scio Oregon! Today we explore three massive antique barns full of collected vintage and American antiques. This spot was especially wonderful if you collect primitives and glasswares.

I am so enjoying this series with your Mom. My Great Grandmother had an outhouse until 1968 when the family finally convinced her that it wasn't unsanitary to have the toilet in your house. I remember going to her farm I was about 4 or 5 and having to use the outhouse. Terror. It didn't help that my Dad would yell "Don't fall in!" Interesting place to dig through. Thanks for sharing.
What a great place! Once my Mom asked me where I was taking her on a trip in the mountains of eastern Kentucky. We went the back way to a town and it was beautiful! Someone took a few photos of us together at Kingdom Come Park on the Little Shepherds Trail. Great memories and I'm so happy to have the photos! All your videos with your Mom are so good for my spirit because it reminds me of my sweet Mom and our trips where we had so much fun. I loved laughing with her over silly things. I've also used an outhouse a few times in my life and always checked for spiders or other bugs before sitting😉
The two-seater outhouse! When I was in 5th grade my friends and I were obsessed with the original Nancy Drew mysteries- . My BFF and I had an after school job cleaning a lady's barn and looking after her horses. We scared ourselves half to death with our overactive imaginations and our 10 year old writing skills- together we penned 'The Mystery of the Two-seater Outhouse'! We thought the story was quite dramatic and scary at the time- circa 1978- I am laughing and embarrassed to admit this ! I love watching you and your Mom- definitely a special bond- I look forward to your channel and adventures every week- be well and stay safe 🌻

You ladies be careful. Had fun looking. Your Mom is a hoot. My girlfriend and I went out to the country junkin and stayed over night to. She had to go to the rest room about 2 in the morning (out house). Woke me up and ask me to go with her because she was afraid. I told her of what. We're both almost 70 and nothing works. Just do it and go to sleep. Lol. We're 6 women about same age and 3 vans. We do heavy antiquing about twice a year for two weeks each time. Then go home. Been doing this for almost 35 years. Love it and especially the hunt.. You ladies have fun. God bless.
I LOVED seeing this terrific place in the country filled with antiques! What fun trips you both have and all the memories you make. My mom and I used to hit all the antique stores when we vacationed together and I especially remember antique malls in the Phoenix area. She was a wonderful mother; I was blessed to have her as mine.
