    Kyle, I love the attention to detail, no matter how minuscule it may seem, that you put into your work. I’m up in Roscoe and am getting serious about getting into a barndo and I look forward to seeing this project completed because it sounds like exactly what I want. It would be an honor to have a home built by you and your team.

    I use piers because frost depths and 70 psf snow loads for my round post for timber frames. So I don't have to cut ties in half. Great video.

      I mentioned that in the last video when they were filling the foundation with about 2’ of it all around. I was guessing it was something like 25+ truckloads. A Conservative estimate would be 250 tons??? $20k-$25k???

    Lasers do lie, and similar to werewolves, laser lying occurs on a full moon after sunset! So I advise RR Buildings to not use their laser at night on full moons. Ray

I’m interested in the Math class today I’m trying to figure out what “the marking out your BOXES “ formula can send me in the right direction to be able to figure your boxes.

      unless i'm remembering wrong its Construction Master Pro

    • @aaronmdjones
      @aaronmdjones ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      As Matt said, it is Construction Master Pro. You can also just calculate it directly with the Pythagorean theorem though.
      This would be a lot easier in metric, since there aren't any fractions to deal with. For example, 8m (8,000mm) run and 12m (12,000mm) rise would be a diagonal of SQRT(8,000^2 + 12,000^2) = 14,422mm (14.422m). There's a fractional millimetre there (that I haven't included in the result) because you really don't ever have to worry about 205 microns when building a house -- that's the average width of 2 hairs from your head.

    Can a post-frame style home be built with a basement or only with a concrete slab?

    • @bertveldhuizen8699
      @bertveldhuizen8699 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Well, they're building it on a stem wall now, I would think it should work on higher foundation walls?

    • @aaronmdjones
      @aaronmdjones 32 นาทีที่ผ่านมา +1

      This house is being built on a concrete slab because it's the easiest way to do permanent underfloor heating, which is what will end up being done. If you had some other heating method in mind or you wouldn't mind doing a 70mm thin mud base on top of a sub-floor for UFH, you could absolutely have a basement.

    Yep ~ Not Gonna Lie ~. I'm imagining myself as a High School Geometry Teacher. Mmmm Maybe Sophomore year (9th or 10th grade), this video and then YOU as a guest speaker. Maybe even combine the whole 9th and 10th grade students. Yea. An auditorium. ~~~ Like a TED talk ~~~ Greg could be there too. "180 degrees," The line, the Receiver, the Perpendicular line, perfect square. Wiggle room, rotating the building. 90 degree line. Snap a line closter to the door." Sure, I could see that. Pull some tape and do a check. All good! I'm tellin ya. A decision with the garage. Wow. True drama. Yea I think you could keep all the student's attention. Absolutely. 〰✨🌿‼👍😳🌿✨〰. New Hampshire

  • @beachboardfan9544
    @beachboardfan9544 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

    Why dont you guys pull string lines and sink the brackets into the concrete like you do with the pole buildings. Wouldnt that save all kinds of time and money not needing all these fasteners to anchor the brackets to the concrete?
