    Thank you for the beautiful, technically grounded video. You are super practical and realistic. For my projects, to reduce the hair line cracks, I used polymer based plastering materials which give more plasticity and thereby reduces cracks. Would be great if you share your thoughts on this.

AAC block.

    Your view that hair-raising are common is not acceptable. It is a labour mistake or supervisory mistake. Sufficient time should be given for each work in civil because it involves cement. If a building is constructed in 18 months such hair cracks and other mistakes can be avoided. We can choose alternative and drilling machines to reduce mistakes in construction.

  • @minkotter1242

    It is poor quality control and substandard practice.... Foundation should be robust enough to prevent relative motion / settlement of structural elements...... Why not use fibre mesh to reinforce the plastering ? It will surely eliminate almost all cracks ( even thermal expansion and contraction) .... Am I wrong in my assumption ?

    • @Hireandbuild
      @Hireandbuild  ปีที่แล้ว

      No it will not eliminate all the cracks. Fibre mesh helps in reducing the cracks but it will not entirely stop all of it.

    What about the strength of the blocks? People feel insecure because AAC is light weight and can be easily eroded manually unlike bricks. This video is like there are zero negatives in AAC except one point wherein its new hence less reliable. It'll be better if all the facts are laid out to general audience.

    • @Hireandbuild
      @Hireandbuild  2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Strength of the blocks is much better than red bricks, every benefit I mentioned in the video there are many videos in youtube explaining its benefits. The strength of the building depends RCC framed structure. Brick / AAC block walls are just filler materials. AAC blocks are 60 to 70 years old technology. We are not promoting AAC blocks nor getting paid for telling the benefits of AAC blocks. As an engineer we feel obliged to tell the technical advantages to common people. If you feel less confident about AAC blocks you can obviously go with red bricks

    • @prabhupj2783
      @prabhupj2783 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Now imagine a plastic juice bottle vs a glass juice bottle. Glass bottle is way too heavier than the plastic bottle but still the plastic bottle is more reliable than glass bottle. AAC and Red bricks are similar. And AAC blocks are much greener than red bricks
