I love these old houses the most. You can almost feel yourself go back in time for just a moment when you are in the rooms of these old homes. I grew up in a house that was built in the 1800s and there was a second story that was complete with a living room kitchen bedroom bathroom and a little nook of a room and as a child I had so much fun and such a wild imagination to go with it. I still dream of that home to this day. So I love watching these, it kind of takes me back to my childhood and wonderful memories of that home. Thank you 😊
There are millions of dollars worth of antiques in this place. Just unbelievable. The cabinets, tables, desks, shelves etc.. are amazing in themselves. Watching from Colorado. Its still the wild west out here. Very rare to find these kinds of relics in this part of the world. Very beautiful stuff. I'm completely fascinated by this. Thank you for being appreciative and respectful.

So many things that were valuable to her but I could not take and had to be disposed of. Thank you for another wonderful exploration video.
Lowkee Kin probably because you can’t keep everything, your house would become a hoarders house if you moved your relatives belongings into your own… You keep what is most sentimental to you
Thank you for the translations. I'm so sorry for your loss. In 2017 I was in a similar position going through my young daughter's belonging when she died due to illness. My husband and I have the opposite experience. We have a farm and many small buildings on it. In the loft of what used to be the barn houses belongings from both sides of our families three generations past. I pity whoever has to go through it all when we're gone. Since our daughter died I've slowly been going through things and writing notes and descriptions of all the objects to make it easier for whatever explorer comes next. There are some very cool engravings from farmhands in the beams of the loft. Apparently, a couple of young guys took shelter there in a hail storm in the 1910s and carved their little experience into the wood. For some reason, this little thing has delighted me for the past 36 years.
The cabinet in one of the bedrooms, that had very thin pull out drawers that were empty. I believe this is used for lepidopterology i.e. to display moths and butterflies. Might explain the butterflies found around the house. Somebody probably had an interest in catching and displaying them. Also backed up by the fact there was a butterfly net in one of the attic rooms. My guess would be a couple moved out to the the country. The wife (Marie) was dying and the husband (George) wanted her to die somewhere peaceful and beautiful. He must’ve loved his wife very much. Perhaps the house was left exactly as it was lived in when she died as a shrine to her? Maybe she was well known, and well loved, and out of respect, people left the house alone? You can tell an awful lot by the clues that are left. I’d guess the bullets may have been dug up in the garden. The house may have seen German soldiers in and around the house during World War II, or perhaps was occupied during WWII by members of the French Resistance.
Great place , well done once again guys, some really rare things in this house. In today's society it's amazing such valuable stuff just lies there in an unlocked house in the woods. 👍
Stephen bubba b Exactly! It’s extraordinary, but likewise it’s the reality of this modern time era. Who knows how long it has been abandoned there in the middle of the woods... such a mystery. Glad you enjoyed, thank you! 😊🙏🏼
Really beautiful find! I love the old books! The French and their beautiful wines! The large bottles are so beautiful I love them! The rooms in the attic were for servants A lot of beautiful antiques!!
The openings up in the attic are for a chimney sweep to clean out the creosote build up that would help prevent chimney fires. The chimney has 3 flues.
WOW! What a wonderful, beautiful, amazing place! Thank you so much for taking me here. There is at least a million dollars worth of goods left abandoned in this place, I just can't understand how anyone would leave it there! The cabinet that you found @22:52 is a collector's cabinet. Seeing that, along with all the butterflies that you found, makes me think that they were into Lepidoptera, which is the collection of butterflies, as this is the type of cabinet that would be used to display and conserve things like that, which can be stored flat--also stamps, lace tat, coins, and etc. The words on the wall @32:00 say Rest In Peace, which is common as a memorial for someone who has died. Thank you for showing us this!
Guys, this took my breath away with it's beautiful and amazing antiques! You definitely found a gem. Excellent ~ Thank you. The item to pump air for a fire is called a bellows and is very useful. Also, as noted earlier, a wardrobe is a cupboard for clothing and other fabric items. A cabinet may or may not have a glass front, but has many shelves to hold kitchen and other items. We call glasses with a tall stand by the collective name "stemware" You are really getting better and better at narrating and editing and your choice of music is fantastic. Wow guys, you deserve to be up there with the best of the lot!!

The bellows are usually used to flare up a fire in the fireplace. I believe you do need to learn what items are called and what they are used for. You won't get many followers at this point. Unless you learn these things your followers will not learn either. Before you do anymore exploring you should take the videos you have and learn the items in those so you can identify properly.

Amazing explore guys you're so good at this I really enjoy watching you, how much appreciation you show and compassion for the things you're lovely people..
I've just come across your channel and I love it! I love the fact that you young men respect the property you explore. That shows your value as well. This particular manor is exquisite and beautifully preserved. Thank you for the explorations. Keep up the amazing explores.
This house was definitely a real-time capsule the antiques were beautiful and surprisingly very well taken care of for this mansion to be deserted for so long. This house should be turned into a museum. Can't wait to see where you take me on your next adventure (our adventure), Love you guys. Peace be to our troubled world.
I live in US and just love to see far away places and how people lived. You are so nice and don't run around screaming like some do. Thank you for sharing.
I am happy to see that these young explorers are able to show their appreciation for the little things, the old things, the personal things and more importantly they are asking why is everything is and not passed down to the next generation!
You guys really ought to peek behind tall wardrobes and bookshelves with a flashlight. Wealthy people LOVE secret passageways. Also, under area rugs and behind pieces of art for safes. Love your work, and really appreciate the respect you have for these places and their history.
This place almost looks like it's still lived in because it is in such pristine condition. It's a beautiful home. I am amazed that people have been there and wrote on the walls and didnt vandalize or damage things. It's interesting that you call everything a wardrobe. You guys do such a wonderful job with your videos. Thank you!
Burning Sands Exploration Thank you very much! We recently have been getting a lot of comments about the “wardrobe” thing, but by now we know it xD Only thing is these videos have been recorded quite some time ago, so on these older videos we will still be wrong in our narration. Please forgive us 😂 Thank you and till next time! Maureno & Remon 🙏🏼
What you called a little sofa was actually used for setting at a dressing table for a lady in her bedroom. (The bench she sets on while she brushed her hair or put on make up or jewelry).
A lot of the sharp silicea stones are stone age hand made tools. I was an antiques trader, and did some jobs in France. It really astonishes me to find out there is still some left. France has been pillaged in the 60's and 70's. I love the explorings you do giys, and i have a lot of respect for the ethical approach you have on this.
You guys did a great job exploring such a treasure trove of beautiful artifacts! I think we talked about the cloth wallpaper before that was in the stairwell with the fleur-de-lis print. I found cloth wall covering in an old house when I was 11. That is the only other time I have seen cloth wall covering ,even though, wallpaper today was inspired by cloth wall covering such as woven tapestries.
Thank you Sandy! Neither did we ever found such “cloth wall covering”. Before exploring this mansion we did not even knew it existed. But in this mansion we were able to find it through a perfect example of decay, one part of the wall covering ripped apart 🤩 till next time! 🙏🏼
Hi Maureno and Remon, Explomo, I was at first nearly speechless to see such a gem of a perfectly well preserved smaller manor house. It's in fact incredible how untouched everything inside that place looked. The whole mansion should be protected and slightly restored as a wonderfully perfect example of a french countryside mansion in museal quality. - In Switzerland we have several similar houses like that, but they are preserved and kept as museums, and in some of them you only get access by prevoius appointment. Even the attic had surprisingly beautifully equipped and seemingly liveable rooms with beautiful original furniture. - The only detail, that didn't fit in the whole set up, were these relatively modern magazines from 1999. - I wonder if the relatives or whoever from the original owners lived there too. But however the amount of untouched antiques in these rooms was amazing, and you both did an excellent job in filming and commenting everything what you could see. - So, thank you very much for this wonderful explore. Go on like that and safe explores and wishing you all the necessary luck und success you require in your studies. - Peace and blessings - Kindest regards from incredibly hot Switzerland.
Willy Egger Definitely agree on you. This property should be restored. It really felt like wandering through a museum exploring this place. It has also been extremely hot weather conditions in the Netherlands, but today the temperature was a little cooler. Thank you Willy and till next time! 🙏🏼
The air blowing tool is a bellow. Cabinets holding dishes are called hutches or smaller dish or sculpture display cabinets are called curio's. Wardrobes are for clothes.
A superb find! Gorgeous hardwood furniture, what a treasure it all is!!! Too bad the family members couldn’t keep these precious treasures! Thank you for sharing this magnificent experience!
I think you could google these places for history on the house, when it was built, who own it, if you look on the back of the plates you can get history from them
That Le Tresor heater is an antique parlor stove. It would be valued today at a few thousand dollars! Gorgeous! Glad not many know about this find or many things would be stolen. Great find guys!
I’m so great full I got to see this home, but sadly so much was missed. I wonder how much these two young men can truly appreciate what they are standing in and looking at!!

Thanks so much for such a detailed journey into this most interesting family and home. You certainly gave this home all the respect it so deserves. I need to watch this video many times to appreciate the stories it has to show. Thanks for showing the façade of the home. It helps us to put things into perspective.
At 31:05 sec, one line written behind the clock is " Je suis deriere parler avec moi " which means "I am behind talk to me". Another one line at 31:52 " Repose en Paix marie" means Rest in peace Marie.
I really love and appreciate the time you put in to filming this location and keeping it a"secret" . Time capsule abandoned locations are my favorite!Interesting!
What a great find 👍 So much stuff just left to decay . Some of the antique and furniture there is worth alot of money . The piano was beautiful. Thankyou guys for showing us this amazing place 👍💜💜☮
I have just been introduced to your channel and I am really enjoying your videos. I will have to say that as a huge fan of history and antiques, I am seeing that you are missing some out of this world antiques. Also, with this video in particular, you missed so many beautiful things. I won't go into everything because from reading some of the comments I see that others have pointed this out. My suggestion is to maybe work with a willing antiques expert or someone like me who loves antiques and does a lot of research about them. If you got with a expert or someone very interested in antiques you wouldn't miss such things and also be better informed so the trolls wouldn't be so cruel. Keep up the great work and I love getting a glimpse into how people lived.
Very good explore, I hope it stays not vandalized. Your telling the story of the family even with all the questions of where did they go? Thank you so much
The contraption to blow on the fire is called bellows. That calendar was gorgeous. The furniture was absolutely amazing. Loved the wallpaper. We have clogging in the US. The picture of the girl may have been a first communion picture. This has been my favorite find so far. Lots of beautiful things to see thanks. The wall paper was fabric? Amazing. I love old maps. I have watched this dumbfounded at the wonderful things you got to see. I hope that stuff in that chest was just dust. Every time I thought you were done. There was more. Great fine. I noticed no spiderwebs. Always a plus
The wall paper is called “cloth wall covering”, it’s a very old-fashioned style which is very rare to find, so that was really unique to see for us. The absence of cobe webs was quite strange, but as you say the more beneficial for us 😂 Thank you and till next time! Maureno & Remon 🙏🏼
Explomo what an awesome explore the furniture the desk the wardrobe the dresser the wine bottles wow what a find beautiful detail the pictures the books the lysol in a corked bottle the faucet I had no idea about these things .I soo enjoyed the explore. Thanks for the nice video all be blessed with loving care and grace. PS be safe. You need hand cleaner and or moist wipes. You guys are soo appreciated I just saw all kinds of antiques and what they had and how they lived very interesting thanks again.
The picture of the young girl was when she took her first communion. The thin drawers in the chest was probably used for some kind of design work, art, stone and crystal collections etc. George and Marie were very artistically inclined.
I believe what you said was a cabinet for files was actually trays for a butterfly collection. That would explain the butterflies all over the place that was not decomposed. A dream of a house for an Abandoned house explorer. Great find..
Hi guys, you missed the beautiful short sword on the dressing table in the bedroom with the girls photograph timestamp 17:30. Repose en paix means Rest in peace in French. A very opulent location, wow. A great explore, thank you for sharing. x
Hi Sue, you are right we’ve missed out on this :o there was so much to see in this property that you literally did not know where to look actually. About the rest in peace, that’s very interesting, meaning the room was thus definitely dedicated to a passed woman. In the end you’re very welcome like always 😊🙏🏼 Best, Maureno & Remon
The writing on the wall says " Rest in Peace Marie " & the picture downstairs is of a girl making her first holy communion ,not getting married good video tho
This is such a beautiful mansion. I like the thing that it's not trashed and vandalized much and plenty of original objects are still there. It seems that family living there reached "the top" from 1900s to 1930s. Those large books at the end of the shelves are actually conversation lexicons for, at least, sounding smart. :D
The outside of the home looked like stone-work! Yes? Very beautiful chandelier. Rest In Peace Marie. ... This was a great explore. Thank you for sharing it with us.
The thing you found at the beginning that pumped air out is used on a coal fire to get it going when you first light it. Great video beautiful antiques left behind. Thanks guys. Jacquie NewYork USA.
Just beautiful ! You two did a terrific job of exploring this one. Nice and slow and thorough. I love old furniture and restore a lot of it, and there were some amazing pieces in this home. How can you resist not taking one, small memento of each house you document? Like one of the stone fossils, or a tea cup? Just to put with your document of that property? Oh yeah, those skinny drawers are called Map Drawers in the U.S. and the attic wall writing says, Rest in Peace Maria.
Wardrobes are for hanging clothes - mostly found in the bedroom. Those units with plates, glassware, ornaments etc are display cabinets/dressers or sideboards.
I watch a lot of urbex videos and I have to say, I really enjoy yours the most. You guys seem to have a ton more respect for abandoned belongings and property, and you also take more time to actually look around and investigate what was left behind. Many urban explorer videos are just a quick run through, taking stock of what may be worth money (in the opinions of young minds who don't even know what skeleton keys, manual typewriters, apothecary bottles, and other antique artifacts actually are). Thank you for your videos - I like to watch your careful and attentive explorations. :)
Such an excellent find! You guys are so good at finding these places that have not been completely trashed! Thank you for doing what you guys do! Love it!
Absolutely amazing and all the cool things in there. The flag, piano, clock, chandeliers and the wall of pictures the rocks. So many absolutely wonderful things in a beautiful home. I'm glad people haven't gone in and trashed it. Hopefully no one will! It's like a time capsule! Thank you so much!
Your English is excellent. A few pointers - A wardrobe is for hanging clothing. Same as an armoire. Most of the items that you were calling wardrobes are called cabinets. The cabinet with all of the slim drawers is a specimen cabinet, which I suspect, based on the number of butterflies/moths that you saw in the house, might have, at one time, been full of different varieties of lepidoptera (butterflies/moths). It might also have held all of the unfired rifle cartridges you found around the house, or his mineral collection. The best were probably taken away by family or stolen. I think most of the rifle cartridges were ones that had been dug up, or found in fields, probably after the first or second world war. The writing on Marie's wall said "Rest in peace, Maria."
This place is gorgeous and truly interesting both in the architecture and also the furnishings that were left. It would be so interesting to know the history of when and why these buildings were abandoned and apparently nothing was removed (saved). Some of the furnishings would be very valuable. Guess it will remain a mystery. Thank you for sharing. Great narration and videography. Really enjoy your explores.
I think you hit the motherlode with all the stones and fossils you found. I think some of the flint stones upstairs in the glassed wooden display cabinet must be ancient hand tools. They reminded me of some of the Native American artifacts I have seen. There is definite evidence of some of the flint stones being shaped by a process called "knapping".
Hola chicos!!, me encantó esta casa, los muebles fabulosos, mis objetos favoritos la colección de piedras, amo las piedras !! Gracias por llevarnos a este bello lugar. Saludos. 🙋😘✌️

You guys really ought to peek behind tall wardrobes and bookshelves with a flashlight. Wealthy people LOVE secret passageways. Also, under area rugs and behind pieces of art for safes. Love your work, and really appreciate the respect you have for these places and their history.
You two are so respectful and love your enthusiasm. Keep up the good work.
Melody Taylor Thank you Melody, this is our passion and we’re glad it’s that enjoyable to share it with you :-)
This place almost looks like it's still lived in because it is in such pristine condition. It's a beautiful home. I am amazed that people have been there and wrote on the walls and didnt vandalize or damage things. It's interesting that you call everything a wardrobe. You guys do such a wonderful job with your videos. Thank you!
Burning Sands Exploration Thank you very much! We recently have been getting a lot of comments about the “wardrobe” thing, but by now we know it xD
Only thing is these videos have been recorded quite some time ago, so on these older videos we will still be wrong in our narration. Please forgive us 😂
Thank you and till next time! Maureno & Remon 🙏🏼
Beautiful paintings. Love that this home hadn't been damaged. Beautiful time capsule. Beautiful country. Awesome explore guys ❤
Lisa jill Mader Thank you so much Lisa
What you called a little sofa was actually used for setting at a dressing table for a lady in her bedroom. (The bench she sets on while she brushed her hair or put on make up or jewelry).
A lot of the sharp silicea stones are stone age hand made tools. I was an antiques trader, and did some jobs in France. It really astonishes me to find out there is still some left. France has been pillaged in the 60's and 70's. I love the explorings you do giys, and i have a lot of respect for the ethical approach you have on this.
I am impressed. Lots of antics. The paintings alone are worth money. Thanks for the tour.
I've been binge watching your videos today... I've noticed you 2 have improved your descriptions over time... Nice Job!! Very interesting place.
The covers over the chimney were used for ventilation in the summers to draw the heat and create a cool draft throughout the house.
BradLee Jones Correct
Those books you were looking at look like they are encyclopedias. The internet of yesteryears.
Happy DAYZE my
Yes...we have it now also
Omg somone needs to save all this beautiful things left. The piano omg
Hi Maureno and Remon, Explomo, I was at first nearly speechless to see such a gem of a perfectly well preserved smaller manor house.
It's in fact incredible how untouched everything inside that place looked. The whole mansion should be protected and slightly restored
as a wonderfully perfect example of a french countryside mansion in museal quality. - In Switzerland we have several similar houses
like that, but they are preserved and kept as museums, and in some of them you only get access by prevoius appointment. Even the attic had
surprisingly beautifully equipped and seemingly liveable rooms with beautiful original furniture. - The only detail, that didn't fit in the whole
set up, were these relatively modern magazines from 1999. - I wonder if the relatives or whoever from the original owners lived there too.
But however the amount of untouched antiques in these rooms was amazing, and you both did an excellent job in filming and commenting
everything what you could see. - So, thank you very much for this wonderful explore. Go on like that and safe explores and wishing you
all the necessary luck und success you require in your studies.
@@Explomo Hi again, You are very welcome!
You should have so many more subscribers... you are simply amazing...places u visit...quality of videos! Excellent!💙
oranges37 Awww thanks a lot! :D
The air blowing tool is a bellow. Cabinets holding dishes are called hutches or smaller dish or sculpture display cabinets are called curio's. Wardrobes are for clothes.
Haha i was wondering if anyone else would say anything lol pretty good english tho. They do there best! Lol
Wow! well done ! It's like stepping into a time capsule with you guy's ! Wishing you well from the East Coast of Canada .😎
thanks, for us it is the same adventure! big love from the netherlands!
A superb find! Gorgeous hardwood furniture, what a treasure it all is!!! Too bad the family members couldn’t keep these precious treasures! Thank you for sharing this magnificent experience!
I think you could google these places for history on the house, when it was built, who own it, if you look on the back of the plates you can get history from them
The picture of the little girl is holy communion picture more than likely, catholics do this as a tradition..
Jeanette Davies Thanks for this info Jeanette! :-)
Exactly, only reason l came was to comment on that !!! Thanks 😊
Jeanette Davies agreed
That Le Tresor heater is an antique parlor stove. It would be valued today at a few thousand dollars! Gorgeous! Glad not many know about this find or many things would be stolen. Great find guys!
I’m so great full I got to see this home, but sadly so much was missed. I wonder how much these two young men can truly appreciate what they are standing in and looking at!!
Ty for sharing your videos and adventures with us ALL. I appreciate your sharing of your time and respect for the homes and belongings. I am grateful to you for capturing the history of the places before they no longer exist. You are a hero of the historical preservation on film. I know you leave things where found, and I appreciate your honesty. HUGS and blessings from NY State. Merry Christmas and happiest of new year approaching f a s t, 2020👍☃️🎄
Wonderful! Such care you put into your videos. Thank you for sharing such beautiful places!
Tracy G. Villarreal You’re very welcome Tracy! :-)
Sarah Jane It was our pleasure Sarah 😁
That thing you were looking at downstairs with all the big drawers, that weren't deep was where their pictures were kept until they were finished.
I really pray that your videos are an influence on the children in the USA because these kids in America are crazy
I love you guys ! Just found you ! You are so calm and respectful.
I love vintage places...I wanna go there and feel and explore those mesmerizing things...it was magical...thank you so much
Very good explore, I hope it stays not vandalized. Your telling the story of the family even with all the questions of where did they go? Thank you so much
Wendy McFadyen-Allerby Youre very welcome Wendy, always! 😊🙏🏼
The absence of cobe webs was quite strange, but as you say the more beneficial for us 😂
Thank you and till next time! Maureno & Remon 🙏🏼
Thanks for showing us! And even more, thank you for being respectful of the home. :)
You are so welcome Camilla!
The picture of the young girl was when she took her first communion. The thin drawers in the chest was probably used for some kind of design work, art, stone and crystal collections etc. George and Marie were very artistically inclined.
Hi Sandra, thank you for your wonderful feedback. This will definitely help us to improve our knowledge! :-)
Yes ! I went back to see it, I missed it first time too.
Thank you !
Lol....I just wrote the same thing....
Nice catch looks like a bayonet type sword.
I'm from Indonesia, thankful for this TH-cam channel. Very interesting 😊
The writing on the wall says " Rest in Peace Marie " & the picture downstairs is of a girl making her first holy communion ,not getting married good video tho
Hi Sally, thank you very much! And also cheers on your feedback :-)
Mentions a date: April 7,1910, if I’m not wrong.
And the other says “I’m right behind you...” how sweet yet sad
This is such a beautiful mansion. I like the thing that it's not trashed and vandalized much and plenty of original objects are still there. It seems that family living there reached "the top" from 1900s to 1930s. Those large books at the end of the shelves are actually conversation lexicons for, at least, sounding smart. :D
CroHeritage3D Thank you! It’s one of our favourite abandoned mansions ever explored. Such a fascinating and magical place.
Hi Jacquie! You’re so very welcome, hope to see you in another episode as well😊🙏🏼
It's called a bellows.
And the back ground music is heart touching.. appreciated.. you stops partially.. according with scenes.. wow
Thanks guys beautiful place, waiting for the next video !
Claudia Cecilia Flores Villarroel Thank you Claudia like always 😊🙏🏼
Love it!
DEBS CREEPY AND ABANDONED PLACES It’s our pleasure exploring and filming these places for you, Deb 😁
Love your videos. Life is beautiful and I love how you try and figure out the history of the individual families who lived there. Also, a bit sad:(
Wow! That wall paper. Love that classic Victorian traditional Damask style patterns. This wall papper looks like silk!
It looked really nice!
@31.50 "Repose en Paix" meaning Rest in peace. Lovely video, and good to see the respect shown for the place.
DEBS CREEPY AND ABANDONED PLACES Thank ya for your enthusiasm like always :D
Hello iit's rest in peace Marie..what an incredible find.....so love this.
Wonderful place to look around, so many little gems of interest,,, your so respectful in your exploring .well done guys
Greatness! Your positivity and energy is absolutely awesome! I wish I could do this. Thank you!
You guys deserve more views and followers 👏
tish G Thank you so much Tish! 😊🙏🏼
@@Explomo You are very welcome! 🤗
S. Ray Never heard about “knapping”, definitely gonna look into it :-) thank you Sandy for tuning in again
"Repose en paix, Marie" betekent "rust in vrede, Marie". De kamer heeft echt spooky vibes. Great video!
Explomo I love this 1,I do love that sink I have never seen anything like it :-)
webee Seaman We neither, thank you! 😊🙏🏼
I love your videos! Your so lucky to see these places in person, even you guys are young pups!
Hola chicos!!, me encantó esta casa, los muebles fabulosos, mis objetos favoritos la colección de piedras, amo las piedras !!
Gracias por llevarnos a este bello lugar. Saludos. 🙋😘✌️
I am very like your channel because you are very respect to owners and very enjoy with art and detail of their houses, waiting for all your clips coming
