KIBINAI I Lithuanian Meat Pies I Empanadas
Kibinas, or kybyn, or kibin is a traditional Lithuanian meat pie. It is often compared to the English Cornish Pasty, and the Filipino Empanada.
These are golden brown crescent-shaped pies with meat filling either mutton, pork, chicken or any meat of your preference. The dough is made of wheat flour enriched with butter, eggs and sour cream, or sometimes kefir.
Kibinas is a savoury pastry that is perfect any time of the day! You can have these for breakfast, lunch or even as a snack. They are deliciously tasty both hot and cold. These are usually is eaten with broth. Skanaus!

I think every culture has one of the hand pies. I am Cuban and my mother and sister and I would make empanadas all the time growing up.
