This is probably the most candid I’ve heard him talk about his process in parting with Elvis. I can only imagine the emotional journey of doing the work, then stopping, then starting the promo which makes you revisit all over again, then closing the door in the correct way emotionally.
Right? Not to mention doing the promo after filming on a new project

Seeing Austin in the teenage roles, and even as Tex in ONCE UPON TIME in HOLLYWOOD makes me realize how he truly ACTED HIS WAY INTO THE ROLE. His dancing and movements were a surprise. TROUBLE was amazing, getting up on his toes!

however, he's nowhere near elvis's critically acclaimed recordings.
"one" listen to elvis's critically acclaimed 1960 recording of "it's now or never" and you'll immediately understand that fact.
Elvis had a wonderful voice, untrained and a wide vocal range. He was a natural. Austin has a good enough voice to copy elvis for a short time. I don't think Austin will become a singer.
