Thanks for the content. We'll be in Falmouth in a couple months. It's been several years since our last visit, and I see it has not changed in regards to the pressure tourists are subjected to once they walk off the ship.
We were in Falmouth in 2018, took a tour of the whole town with one of the guys in the blue shirt outside of the gate. We walked all the way to the fort, which is a school where the guys nephew attended. Best time of our whole cruise!
We have been there ONCE and I said never again! And it is mostly because of the aggression of the vendors...no definitely doesn't mean no to them! The aggression was actually scary. I am glad you mentioned it.
Dunn River Falls is the biggest Shake-Down!! We paid greatly for a guided tour down the river, 2-3 hours. At the end was the biggest money grab. Even when you do tip extra it’s NEVER enough. We were never afraid just aggravated. It’s gotten worse over the years. And, they say, “Don’t worry be happy” HA!
Jamaican here, sorry that you had such a bad experience with tipping. I promise, we truly appreciate tips of any amount. Those people that you met are a minority that we are working on
@@onceuponatime that’s good to hear…I love to tip generously but don’t like to be judged openly…whether it’s a good or bad amount 😁 - thanks for sharing. I truly appreciate it 👍🏼
The process of Dreads cost more money than Braids, which are a different style. I always Take a Taxi or excursion that's not with the ship. And it's always been a Memorable Experience‼️💯 Everywhere you go, outside of your own environment your suppose to be safe and watch your surroundings even in your own town as well. But I dont let the fear and negatively you try are trying to inject on this post about Jamaica or it citizen influence me. I bern here (3) three times and went outside the Gate. 😎 There are Unionized taxis that work at every Port and take good care of visitors. Cruiselines dont Port at Countries that put its Passengers at risk or in danger. 🎯 $1.00 is not a tip.🤔 It's an insult. 💯
Jamaica is a poor country and they think all, tourists are rich and will try and scam you. I’ve been here working for months and as soon as I walk in a shop the prices go up

Were there any sit-down food options in the port's inner safe area? I know Margaritaville closed.
@@jturn4787 yes. There was a food court area and two restaurants inside the port area ✅
