I see where you coming from but I feel like I need to weigh in to bring a different perspective. Khaligraph is one of the few artists who is fighting for the younger generation, if you follow the Khali Cartel 1,2 and 3 and a track called Luku, you will discover alot more hiphop artists. His main aim right now is to put Kenya on the hiphop map where people will now be curious, yoooo, he's from Kenya? Who else do they have in Kenya? Then when you go to his catalogue you will see the Khali Cartel sequels...from there you get to discover newer artists who got heavy bars that he was trying to push. I wouldn't call it hogging the limelight but more of bringing the spotlight to Kenya, that is why he is our OG. I hope I made some sort of sense in that.
