It's not legit mathas is something or someone isn't getting fucked. Hell every once in awhile, it even works in his favor, like his come from behind win in the CS MP by getting a last minute PU on France from a royal marriage he made on a whim a few weeks before.
It's like he's the only player who realizes that feudalism only works if the nobles work together. The nobility are too classy to use a peasant's tool like the _guillotine,_ but they've got plenty of headsmen.
Mathas' turn is why I hate about ck2 sometimes. He got TWO genius sons on the FIRST try, and then outlived them both... I'm so envious and sympathetic at the same time.
Shennryr isn't to bad at CK2 either though, as one could see. Between the various players only him or Arumba probably knew enough tricks in the game to manage to gather a counter deathstack against the sunset invasion Aztecs. Also it was kind of funny how Arumba was worried by the huge islamic empire and Shennryr just went off on a crusade and beat it up and took the Kingdom of Jerusalem off of them.

I like how Arumba was the first to fight a losing battle, and Northernlion made possibly the most important advances by gaining footholds in both Britanny and Scotland. What a weird world.
I dunno.....to quote everyone else...WHY THE FUCK DO I OWN LAND DOWN THERE!? And Arumba having to spend 95% of his 2nd turn fixing everything the rest of the people had progressively screwed up or simply never even attempted to correct.
It would be more accurate to blame the loss on how the ~600-strong army was basically just a bunch of guys woken up in the middle of the night and pointed in the general direction of the enemy...but also less funny.

Then Arumba the I the II came along and cleaned up everything by doing some sorcery and dying at a far to young age to actually make good use of all the hard work he did. Brilliant idea, I love it!
I remember watching this, it would be sooo cool if Arumba, Northernlion, Shenryyr, Mathas and some other guys made a game again. I really miss those videos (oh god, why am I using my life on watching year-old videos of ck2 let's plays)
When you have first battle, you win it and AI immediately enforces demands because it was able to assault 5 counties with its spawned doomstack (and that somehow has more weight than you killing tens of thousands of their troops), you have all the right to savescum.

Shenryyu really took his eyes off the ball, he had 69 years to form the empire of Britannia. Yes taking Jerusalem was cool but should have focused more on the homelands.
It can happen if you raise levies in a province owned by a duke of Brittany who really likes you, since pressing "raise levies" on any county owned by a duke summons all of his available levies, and all those of his vassals.

Also, the last four kings are all known as "the Great," because the people who come up with these nicknames have _no_ creativity.
CK2 was only 1-2 year old game back then, most people did not have 1000s of hours in the game back then. The tutorial for this game is awful.. and was removed since it was too obsolete.
Sigurd Kristvik You don't need thousands of hours... Arumba and Quill did just fine. Mathas just decided his first order of business would be to give away all of his territory.
If you have problems with conquered kingdoms having different succession laws, you can destroy the kingdom title and recreate it. The recreated kingdom will have the same sucession law as your primary kingdom. Your vassals in that kingdom will get pissed off though, but they'll get over it. Or die.
I love how AlpacaPatrol is like NorthenLion what are you doing when NorthenLion made the Kingdom of Ireland, took Britanny, and took parts of Scotland all in one life starting out with one territory.

Get claims on dutchys or invite people to your court with claims on duchies or higher. and holy wars are your friend conquer and revoke everything. otherwise its is a little slow to expand. you can always try to set up some sort of inheritance scheme

Yoton King you cant take land from them in that war but truces are one way so just peace him out and then declare war right back at him.
