    Hello Pinball fans and welcome back to the Majestic Pinball TH-cam Channel. Today we will be taking a good look at an absolute 80's classic - it's Space Invaders which was designed by Jim Patla, produced by Bally and released in 1980. This game follows in Taito's footsteps and is based off of their iconic 1978 video game release of the same name. It is my mission to help teach you the essentials needed to learn and master real-life pinball tables as well as providing a little bit of their past history too. Be sure to subscribe as we upload a new Pinball Tutorial & Gameplay video every single Monday!

    Played this in my local pub in 1980 on the first day it was installed. Played one game for what feels like half an hour now in my memory, the pace of the drums constantly increasing, a small crowd forming around me cheering me up, will never forget that intense game play!

    Thank you for showing us this. I was addicted to this machine back in the day. They had one in the Reb Barn Cafe in Woolacombe North Devon where I worked in the kitchen earning money on a summer job (about 40 years ago LOL). We used to rush out to the front of the cafe to play during breaks in our shift. I remember there was this biker guy, Nigel, who would stay on the machine for what seemed like hours. He played the loops and just kept getting extra games which he would sometimes leave for us. Also I remember the game was beautiful when illuminated too. Its just a work of art. Your video bought back great memories. Thanks again.

      My pleasure, thank you for sharing such a wonderful memory! I love hearing old pinball stories from people. I've heard a lot of people say about hitting the middle loop endlessly for free games, something I wasn't aware of at the time of filming. Thanks for watching! ☺️

    they have one of these at a local arcade. It needs some TLC , but I’m happy it’s there.

    Played this a lot in the day, and is my favourite game ever, probably not the best gameplay but such happy memories. That drumming noise, wow. Still think it has the best artwork ever, probably just outdone by Circus Voltair 🙂. Thanks. Oh, and thanks for explaining the space ship bonus, could never figure out that one 😄.

      Always love hearing about games people are nostalgic for, really enjoyed playing this while I had it at the workshop, and that iconic space invaders bass is fantastic. Thanks for watching! :D

    Amazing machine! Always loved pinball! My dad loved it always played in his youth!

    I remember playing this in the UK in the mid 80s. If you got the ball around the loop in the centre 10 tines, every further loop made would give a credit! So you would play it just to do the loop, then once you had 10 or 11 credits, you'd play it properly with 3 of your mates as a 4 player game - Great memories :)

      Sounds like a bit of a loophole in the rules that I didn't know about - at least you got your money's worth lol

    I turned this machine over back in the day at Funtown Junction at the mall in Columbus Georgia. I think i got about 35 free plays i remember the machine knocking like crazy and the gjuy who gives you change came running asking if i just turned it over. Remember leaving a bunch of free plays on it that day. Wow the memories...

    Used to be mesmerised by this when it came out. They had one in JR’s roller disco in Workington UK early 80’s. Also can be seen briefly in Rocky III in the scene when Pauline throws the bottle into the Rocky pinball machine.

    Doesn't seem like this machine works that well, or you're not aware of how to score high points. The loop in the middle is the key to the entire game. If you repeatedly go through that, the bonues are quite phenomenal to be able to win free games. The rare times you went through there, it didn't seem to register at all. Probably a function of age for a 42 year old pinball game, but kind of disappointing not to see that aspect during your playthrough.

    • @MajesticPinball
      @MajesticPinball  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Sorry to disappoint you... I must agree it would probably of made for far more entertaining viewing to watch someone shoot a ball through a loop and ignore the entire playfield for a video.

    • @RichieCavsRetrocade

      Yeah, I want to watch someone someone do the loop over and over and over get mega bonuses????
