Thanks for the review. It’s almost impossible to find unbiased information on forums. Most of the time when you ask about budget welders the opinions generally come from professional welders that tend to think that you can only weld with $1,000+ dollar machines. Its all about managing your expectations and being realist with what you will be asking the machine to do.
The thing will melt metal together with a strong bond. I’m not in business. It does that perfectly well with anything under 1/8, and with certain methods, you can go bigger too by running multiple passes. So ya, it’s a perfectly capable machine. Many people in professional trade industries just love to be an elitest about their trade and try to convince DIYers that they cannot in any way mimic what the pro is doing and part of that is pretending like the only tool for the job is completely unobtainable for the common man. I think they think they are protecting their trade.
I'm just learning to weld as a hobby. Way too many decisions to make! Thanks for helping me narrow what I need to get started. Looking forward to more of your content.
I own a landscape maintenance company and I want to make my open trailer more enclosed. Eventually a removable roof to use as a clean up trailer in Fall. Want to get this welder for that task. Thanks for the review video.
I want to just do some autobody welds make patch panels, the price for this seems nice. The 140 type name brand stuff is almost twice the price. I just don't know if I would need all that, if I'm mainly going to be using low settings.
Trust me, the Lincoln name brand makes a difference. Some say it doesn't but, I've used both and the Lincoln brand is made to a higher Standard. Their butt (name), is on the line with it. God bless y'all.
Not bad but, for about $20.00 more you can get the Forney Easy Weld 140 MP that does the same but also runs a 10 pound spool and does stick welding. Also more amperage
Can we use this model without gas ? I am a brand new and dont know anything just trying to weld some small stuff around the house and i cant get it set up to start
pretty cool, Would be interesting to know if Lincoln actually designed it in house, or if they just paid another company to design a micro unit and just slapped the Lincoln name on it.
I think that could probably true for some, but for others I would just say that they aren’t typically built by a reputable company like Lincoln and may not have a one year warranty.
@DereksWorkshopAndProjects watched your video cause I bought it aswell as some of the ppe needed.. been 35 years since high-school shop class.. I'll let you know how it turns out
I just got this welder, iv been mig welding for years on at home projects, but my issue is iv never seen the negative and positive polarity thing, basically not sure we’re to put my negative wire, i want to weld with shielding gas and with flux core depending on the job of course, can someone help me out

I have plenty of welding content. I haven’t updated my playlist in a long time but just search around. It’s there! Thanks for watching.

Great video! Just bought one of these babies, and this video provided a lot of information.
Learning to weld and go to school and doing welding jobs.

Yes flux core no gas
Did you figure it out I’m having same problem just keeps feeding wire
@@izzyswan9329is the ground wire connected to the piece you’re welding?

How do you set up the stick welder and make it work?
What's your opinion between flux core lincoln or the forney eazy weld 140..price of Lincoln is $279 & forney is $240..
I don’t think you could go wrong either way.
i like lincoln but for the price point i think there are much better options out there
I think that could probably true for some, but for others I would just say that they aren’t typically built by a reputable company like Lincoln and may not have a one year warranty.
I keep hearing this yet no one says what those better options are. Especially for under 400 dollars.
Is it only 110v ?
Yes
Doesn’t the box itself say “welds up to 1/4”?
Tank you for the vidéo. 👋🇨🇦
3/16 for mig
1/4 for flux core
That’s the specs lowes has posted
Good afternoon, excuse me, what type of gas are you using?
75/25 shielding gas.
Can it be used with c02?
For the money I got a 130a Arccaptain does Stick Mig and Tig for $176.00. 130 amps 60% duty cycle.
Can you tell me what's the difference between the 90i and Lincoln weld pac 120?
If you haven't found the answer yet, the WELD-PAK 120 is only a flux core welder. It does not have the gas line hookups for MiG.
Can u talk about the negative/positive in the front ?
Changing polarity for flux core or solid wire because each requires a different set up. Read up on it on Google.
Planning on welding bars on a firewood conveyor to a set of chains.. will this work?
Sounds like the perfect tool unless what
You’re doing is a lot bigger than I am picturing.

Dude ur helmet is so sick where is it from
YesWelder iron and ink I think it’s called. I have a review of it on the channel with an affiliate link to Amazon.

I think you must have bought the 90iFC?
so this machine will run smooth on a 15 amp breaker right?
I would say dedicated 20 AMP
My husband just bought me one of these for our anniversary but he said it didn't come with either nozzle😢
Get ahold of Lincoln customer service and I’m sure they’ll take care of it for you.
@@DereksWorkshopAndProjects thank you!!!!
Can this welder run on either 15 amp or 20 amp home circuit?
Yes, 15 will tend to trip though.
@@DereksWorkshopAndProjects Ok. Thanks for that info.
Is the Lincoln better then the Forney?
I like them both pretty equally.
Thanks for a quick reply.
Can you run a spool gun on this?
Probably not
Lincoln claims, by what is on the package, it will weld 1/4" materials, BS.
I think that could be the case but certainly not with a 20 amp circuit I’m finding.
