I really enjoyed the combat back when I still played. The biggest problem that made me quit is the optimization in the endgame raids. I would have 60fps running outside but stepped in a raid and it reduced to 10fps.
bro in blade and soul there is no social content to do until u finish the story... u usually finish the game in like 4 days and after that only the latest daily dungeons and raids are played! u usually spend like 5 to 20 days playing the game then forget about it for like 2-3 years... that game was to appear in 2011 but launched in 2016 and was played nicely until 2018 when u could still do story lvl up and interact with some people at some point for lower lvl dungeons but after that ppl got bored and left it... also the money shop is a totally screw up scam
Is it STILL doing that???? I tried downloading the game when they upgraded to UE4 and it did the same thing. It took me 10hours to download the game! If I remember correctly I had to close the launcher, then restart it, let it download the file it was stuck on and when it gets stuck again, exit, then restart. Rinse and repeat until you're done. It's crazy how they still haven't fixed that issue.
Look on my Aion video, i had the same issue i got it fixed when you login with email, dont login with the link to GMAIL or other links, cause it will lock you to a Korean region and the game will keep interrupting the download.
i had a good time in this game back in the day, loved the combos and gameplay, sadly they just killed the game like all the ncsoft games, some times i wish i was filthy rich so i could buy ncsoft and revive these games the right way whatever that would be ;-;
AT LAUNCH, BnS was preeeetty fun. Unfortunately, ping really fucked all South America players (like me), even with VPN. In this game, you really need to have low ping for the fast combat the game offers. The enrage timer on bosses is tight AF. A slower rotation due to high latency would fuck you over because you would hit enrage almost 100% of pulls ON ITEM LEVEL, even if you played perfectly. But the real end-game was the Arena PvP and Factions PvP. The game was pretty balanced in Arena. Some classes were harder to play and had slight advantages or disadvantages against certain matchups, but nothing players couldn't handle and didn't feel unfair. Open world PvP and Factions PvP though were just a freakshow of whales one shotting F2P. A good game, good idea, good combat system in a sea of WoW tab targeting shitshow copies (at the time of launch). It was refreshing but the game had the same fate as almost all games created and managed by Korean game companies: death by greed.
NA bns servers used to be located in texas but they moved the servers to virginia a few years ago.. which is good for me since i live in virginia (what a coincidence lol) but a bad thing for south america since texas is closer to south america
Tbh the early stages of the game are usually dead and the dungeons are meaningless until you finish the story mode or atleast get to a certain point to unlock the ones that matter which makes most people just quest rush.

The veteran player of over 7 years here the p2w comments are bogus the game gave back in the day everything you needed and the only thing you needed to bring was brain this is something p2w complainers did not have and to be perfectly honest the average whale didnt have either in raids if you had th highest dps you were basically exempt from doing mechs. The lower dps people had to do the mechs and ultimately carried the raid. I was that low dps player as a destroyer and 2-4 fps at worst and 24-40 at best 174-250 ping cleared every raid. The problem was lazy and anti-social people If you want to talk about the performance we all can admit it started good then progressively became assier with each update raids we all had to use multitools and bns buddy to lower the effects to bare minimum and on 32 bit. Crashes all the time in raids every week-end i would be emailing the gms to restore my lost dynamics. Senior Community manager after jonathan and bethany left was the absolute worst The game as it is now is a very solo and casual experience. The game pretty much died shortly after the awakening patch. Yet here i am still playing this god damn game everyday with my clan completely dead hopefully theyll come back in neo classic
The game is pay to win. Trove and Favor's fortune existing completely destroy your argument. That said, the grind is allot more f2p friendly than before with almost everything coming from 4 man dungeons. If you can find a group of 2-3 other people with similar gear, you can all clear really well and gear up somewhat fast.

BnS got a plethora problems with it but being able to progress sure as hell isn't one of them. not ever since demonsbane came out. you want pay to win look at games where you need to buy item protection to prevent your weapon and armor from getting destroyed like Dragonnest or Flyff. BNS also has opportunities to earn HMC so you can buy these garbage fortune favors and troves.

No one does pvp anymore because its dogshit. The awakening update sapped the fun right out of it. Its all just who ever runs out of i-frame skills first gets OCKO(one combo kill) or even OHKO(one hit k-o). Yes progressing is easier than before(300 stinger for one stage go brrr), but the damage has already been done. I'm curious though, how do YOU play this game?

Usually takes 30 min to blow through 5 dailies.

I can vouch for that the worst my.fps was was 2-4 fps in the scarlet conservatory luckily I was a destroyer on shadow build
every single player is in mushins tower, there should be no players anywhere in lower player zones

i tried to download it but download launcher keep poping up failed to download some files and wont proceed anymore.

Thats exactly the way i think sometimes about my favorite games.
any mmorpg that could not feed their F2P player will eventually ruin their game.. cuz without F2P player the server will endup dead
