I had an interesting fitting with the Ping 430 - I had expected to see better dispersion at the expense of distance. What actually came out was better dispersion and 15-20 yds further than my Callaway Epic - it went up to 230-240 yds, the biggest surprise was it came after a 35g shaft went in compared to the 55g shaft in my current driver.
Somewhat unrelated question, but in your professional opinion/experience what's a better way to generate ball speed is it strength training or more so increasing body torque/flexibility?
That's good to know as I currently game the Callaway Rogue Max but have always been very curious to see how the Ping G430 would stack against my driver and I can't find a test anywhere on TH-cam that does a Rogue Max ST VS G430 driver comparison.
Looks like you're really pushing the ping g 430 hard, It looks like the 425 is a touch better than the 430, It's definitely not worth $600 to switch Even if the 425 is a little louder. Just a thought !!!
They are a retailer of new and used clubs. Their Job is to point out both clubs are solid. Buy the 425 as it performs if you can deal with the sound. If not buy the 430. I’ve owned both and for me the 430 was worth it for the sound improvement. Performance wise they were identical after seasons worth of use each.
Thanks for watching! We're pushing both G430 and G425, because they're both fantastic. For some golfers, the sound difference is very minor. But for others, it's significant. Just making note of all aspects to make sure we can relate the content to everyone watching!
I'll stick with 425. I don't mind the gun shot sound since I'm from the hood..btw, thoughts on paradym x irons vs your favorite game improvement irons???? @@2ndswing
There's a lot of golfers like you that just want the ball to go straight and far and don't care about the sound. That's why G425 has still done really well!
lol. Testing a "game improvement" driver with someone's whose swing speed is 110-115 is a pathetic waste of time. Find a player who is a low handicap with a swing speed more like 95-100 and that is your am market. I play all the time and I never see anyone with a higher effective swing speed than mine and I only swing around 100 mph with the driver. Frankly, you don't need more than that.
As someone with a high swing speed, I struggle with consistency off the tee so the max could be a good option to improve my dispersion. It's not a waste for low handicap ams trying to squeeze the best rounds out of their game!
I love my G425 Max and the sound doesn't bother me one bit. The "loudness" of it is continually overblown in 2nd Swing and many other channels videos.

Great feedback!! PING definitely made some changes to add ball speed in the G430 compared to previous years
you guys could always bring me in if you want to see the G430 Max go right lol

Love the 430 LST and for me the only driver this year that surpassed it was the Paradym TD.
Looking forward to your comparison of the Ping 425 max, 430 max and the surprise new 430 max 10k 😃
what shaft did you use with this comparison?
Love my 425 Max, can't see dropping $600.00 on a new 430 right now. For my game, I'd rather pay for green fees than new Driver.
Same for me. I love my 425 Max also and don't see enough difference to go with the 430 either.
I used the 425 Max for two yrs, went to Calloway Rogue Max. More distance than 425 and ball speed. Looking something to replace the Rogue this winter.

I never understood why sound is such a big factor to some. It has 0 to do with performance since the ball is well gone before you hear it.
Tbh l still think the G410 is a wonderful driver ❤
Hitting G 400 and Smashing it !
It definitely is!
G400 is still the choice for several Tour pros. Reliable as they come
Will 2nd Swing ever come to the PNW?
There’s always a PING driver for somebody.
Indeed!
425 max is so so good
425 max goes FURTHER....How can that justify 430, even though the sound is more muted???????????????????????????????????????????
SO GOOD
The g430 lst is more forgiving me than the g425 for whatever reason my misses find more fairways

PING, please make a 9° SFT
G425 Max for the win
I like my new - used 425…& sound don’t bother hearing it what maybe 13-14 times a round. Who cares

If you care that much bout sounds. You dont like Golf
Sound can be very impactful for golfers!
Hundred percent 😑

Hate to say it but the G425 max is better it’s longer and more forgiving and very workable
