Romario did not want to sell his country by deliberately losing to France in the final.
He did not want to be part of fixing. That is why he was not selected.
We all know that the WC in 1998 was fixed. France was the host nation and had never won World Cup, so they wanted to make France the champions.
Brazil sold themselves, but were compensated in WORLD CUP 2002

@@hsafootballworld1321 BS France had a great team and yes in someway it was easy to get to the final BUT with Romario it would end in a different way, no way they could have stop Romario, Ronaldo was out but they could not poison even Romario, that was probably one of the best Brazil ever, Zagallo have not be forgiven in Brazil for not bringing o Baixinho to the World Cup. Brazil literally had bars with his face in the restrooms because of that.
