Great videos. I have a 95 Kawasaki zx7. Starting issues..in neutral only starts while pulling in clutch lever then release and pull in and release until finally starts. And also when i go on long ride and get off eat. Get back on to start it wont start..been rejetted etc..any help would be appreciated;)
Thanks man! Helped a lot to get some idea why the '99 ZZR600 doesn't start in gear. Similar problem, same clutch switch design.

I have an 07 zzr600 with the same problem and I did exactly what u said and poof my bike starts in gear thank you!

Yeah, total electrical issue, soound like worn/dirty electrical contact points inside the clutch switch. Kickstand switch might be dirty, too.
@@theoverengineer is it hard to clean clutch points your talking about?
@mike s No, but if worn out, it might need replacement or shimming out to create solid electrical contact.

why not get a new switch
Costs money & back in the same corner with same design.
I think its supposed to b like that. My bike is like that and i got it basically new.
Design features are widely shared. Nothing just is though.
