- Watch out everyone the Karens and out and about and attempting to ruin our fishing trips. I was out doing some fishing in Tampa Florida when a angry Karen decided to yell at me from her back porch. I go in depth towards the end of the video and talk about what we could've done better in this situation.

I almost had a video of a Karen that freaked out on me about nothing with me but some other people. Someone went on her land and had a coat Luke mine but not mine and the lady came up to me and said excuse me, please stay off my land and I told her that I didn’t know what she was talking about and she flipped but I didn’t have my phone on me and she freaked out and told her husband about me and he came down and I told him that I never had been on their land and he said ok

As a fisherman, this PAINS me to say.....America is slowly turning into a private property puzzle. A lake I used to fish in New Hampshire has just shut down their boat ramp to the public so the only way to really fish that lake is to buy a house on that lake. Eventually, the U.S. will have all lakes privatized.
OK this is right in the middle of a neighborhood you literally are walking all over people's back yard the entire time why would you fish here??? You even saw one guy had a little picket fence up, there are tons of other places to fish

I got onto a riverside pond on the the side of the road the other day and a man came over asking me if I knew him and shit. I just straight up answered no and told him that the dock he put up over there is public property and I had my right to be on it lmao. People putting up infrastructure in places they're not supposed to in the first place and expecting no one to go onto it is wild too. Like public accessible places should not be considered private by these people who chose to live there. I'd be super okay with people by-passing on my dock for fishing. And even here, Noah just casually going around a public pond and fishing around it where he's not bothering no one.

People saying 'whatd you expect fishing in peoples backyards' im sure he did expect someone to come out and say something as he was willing to leave so easy, what he didnt expect was Big Mouth Bertha deciding to come out of her dungeon and say 'beat it' as if he wasnt already in the process of leaving, like itd make matter worse and make him shiver in his boots and run. He had both his poles and was heading to his car, in what world would coming outside and telling the person actively leaving to beat it with an attitude at that. theyre not mad at the fact people are fishing, theyre mad at the fact that when people fish their dogs dont shut the hell up. Im sure if he were on the complete other side, someone wouldve left him alone or wouldve been a whole lot nicer about it.

As a bank angler, it's been really tough to figure out rivers. I live in Oregon and that's home to some of the best River fishing in the country. The Willamette in particular is close to me and full of largemouth, smallmouth (more so than largies), salmon, steelhead, numerous trout and sturgeon.
Would love to see your take on how to fish rivers from the bank. Your pond hopping videos have greatly helped me be a better bank angler in my lakes and ponds. I want to catch smallies in the river, I've never caught smallies at all. Keep kickin' their bass boss!
Yah I live in Dundee and it’s annoying to fishing docks so I got a kayak
I’m in Newberg. I have a lot of luck catching smallmouth at Champoeg State Park off the dock!

I love when people say "there's a sign!" One sign on the whole lake and they expect you instantly saw it...
The reason so many bodies of water are getting closed off to public fishing is trash. It’s just the truth. I always clean up and take my trash with me but I’m an exception, not the rule. The worst is anglers who leave discarded fishing line. My church has two ponds open to public fishing. The other day I was snagging so much trash. As a church staff member it makes me want to advocate for closing the ponds to the public. It’s a hard pill to swallow but it’s the truth.

I decided to subscribe to your channel because of your energy and knowledge. The bonus for me was this video. Seeing how you carried yourself and maintained a mature manner. I am 60's old and have enjoyed fishing since I was a young child. It is refreshing to know there are young men such as yourself in the world that is level headed. The same holds true for your friends.

No he really isn’t justified in standing up to them. He was trespassing and his attitude was wrong. He should have apologized and kept his mouth shut and moved on. They had every right to dig his ass. If it would have been in Texas he would have had a real issue.

One thing that I have noticed and that is the difference between American fishing and British fishing, in the UK we use nets to land the fish that we catch, we don`t lift them up on the hook unless they are very small, the bigger ones we put on soft wet mats to unhook them and we never just throw them back into the water, we place them in the water. I think that we have more respect for the fish that we catch compared to American fishermen.

If behind you is someone’s house, you’re in their backyard. Go find a designated area to fish
With all due respect, they don’t own to the water. They can put any sign up they want to, but you are allowed to walk around the lake. If you see people have a fence, that is their property line, it does not go to the waterline!

Ive seen a few of these vids now. Are you guys looking for trouble? I ask because all the areas you fish are posted, then you title your vids "karens" about people who dont want others on their property. I realize some of these people are rude and you seem like good kids but to set up a situation filming on posted areas seems pretty provocative.
Those rock lined bodies of water can often be rather devoid of hiding places and things to eat, which makes the fish in them more aggressive and catchable. We dug a pond on our property that fell in line with a stream that ran through it. It's 26' ft. at its deepest. The neighbor upstream actually blasted his out of sandstone and we used to fish it. The fish were "skinny" the bigger they were. The neat thing is, over time fish from the neighbor's pond were washed out through the spillway into ours and have thrived ever since. Bass, bluegill and crappie. Before we had our pond, we used to throw the fish that were washed out back in the neighbor's pond so they wouldn't die. Our's is spring fed as well. One can dive down off a pier we have and feel water blasting you in the face as you go down. It's been a blessing to us all these years, now. 🙂
The pond was originally dug out to provide the fill necessary to raise the level of the homesites. Kaboom, waterfront lots.

Every Karen I’ve seen always always has the tiny yapping dogs. If I’m walking in a neighborhood and I hear the small dogs I just start walking quick 😂
The everyday struggles of a fisherman trying to pondhop lol
I live in Fort Myers for about 9 months, in a gated community. One day why walking around the neighborhood, witch did almost daily, walked down by one of the ponds. Saw a decent sized turtle and then walked back to the street. Was about 30ft from the street only and only by pond for about a minute. I rounded the corner of street and 50 year old man came out his house, " I was about 27 at the time" and asked what I was doing. I told him walking around and looked at the pond. He asked if I live in gated community I told him yes and even told him my address. He wouldn't believe me and accused me of staking out the back of his house. Looked identical setup like in your video with screened in back of the house. I told him I paid no attention to the houses or him cause I never even seen him in his yard. I ignored him and walked away continuing about my stroll. He followed me whole time on his phone and when we got by the front gate Sheriff's were waiting for me. They checked my ID and he adamantly accused me of coming up scoping out his yard and house and neighbors houses. Sheriff's then told me I was lucky I didn't get shot because he had every right. By then I am starting to get mad when they are telling me he had the right to shoot me when I had nothing to do with him or even look in his Direction to know that he was there or paying attention at all. Moral of the story is watch out for cranky old Karen's in Florida I guess 😅 🤔 🤷
Best way to deal with that is, be nice, and as polite as you can be. Unfortunately in situations like that, homeowners are, “in the right”, so to speak.
Dude, I feel the pain - I went to a lake, took my 2 wheel truck. I got it stuck on a boulder. I walked the lake and no one would help me. Finally I got my truck towed - the tow driver said,. "DIDNT YOU SEE THE SIGN!". $300 later the fishing trip was over. 🤡

Proper etiquette is to ask permission of the property owner before fishing on someone’s property. Yes I did get a kick out of the lady storming out to say “beat it”, but before fishing a neighborhood lake you should have sought permission. I have been fishing for decades and never just walked onto someone else’s property to fish. When you just take liberties it makes it hard on us that will ask first.
I had a Karen flip out on me a few years ago. I was fishing on a doc I believe it was at Myrtle Beach. I caught a hammerhead shark and she immediately came over yelling at me. She completely freakout on me and got way too close as I was trying to get the hook out. Yelling at me to toss it back (my plan was to do that anyway). She kept running her mouth the entire time while I was trying to be careful with the fish. Karen please shut up and get back! Everyone else was just trying to get a good look at the fish. I asked someone to grab my phone so I could get a picture. She kept getting worst and getting closer. Offering to help me with the hook. NO, KAREN GET AWAY FROM ME!!! She was horrified that I wanted to waste time with a picture. Fortunately, some really cool teenagers helped me with the fish & Karen.
Why was she at the doc where EVERYONE was catching fish if you're so offended by it?!? Completely ruined an otherwise fun experience.

As someone who is from Georgia, I highly recommend only fishing ponds that are in neighborhoods and that are around your area. It's best to find ponds in neighborhoods that are accessible from the road like on the damn and you can just park on the side so traffic can get by. Going into areas like in the video or on private property with the homes right there is just asking for trouble.

I don't know how the laws are there, but where I live, you have to have written permission from the landowners to hunt or fish on their property. If you don't have it, you can be fined if the landowner presses charges.
same thing with me, I have lived in my neighborhood for two decades. there is a pond that is technically my backyard. kids from all over come and fish and I let them borrow my poles and lures as long as they return them. low and behold over the past few years the newer families that move in and don't even go outside have complained to the HOA that there are too many kids fishing. is fishing not the most wholesome and no risk activity that these kids could be doing? It's become a problem when even when I go out to fish in my backyard my neighbors will let their dogs out on purpose to bark constantly until i'm done. some people just don't want anyone to have fun. what's the point of having a stocked pond if you don't want people to fish? it's beyond me, don't even waste the money stocking a pond if the HOA is gonna say no fishing. can't get rid of Karen's, but you can clown them, and that's what you did here. obviously based off that dude and his son, im assuming multiple families would like to fish but don't because of this stupid family. just sad.
Try mini rod challenges or maybe even pick 10 baits and switch out baits everytime you catch one until you catch on all of them! Lure choices: jig,underspin, dropshot,creature,senko,big swim or gilde bait,popper,shakeyhead,rattletrap,last but not least Ned rig

You are so right to say you shouldn't have fished that pond. I have been known to go on private property to fish, but I never had the chutzpah to do it in sight of people's homes. That being said, there was no reason for people to scream and be aggressive.

The lesson here. Look for the sigh when houses surround a pond. If your in Tampa again check out the Hillsborough river You'll need a boat. You could travel in to Tampa bay and head down to MacDill AFB that water is full of Trout, Snook, Redfish ,Tarpon whitefish , and of course sharks. Good luck on your next adventure.
