The Second Stint - Le Mans Ultimate June Update and 2024 Season Plans

- Le Mans Ultimate, the official game for the FIA World Endurance Championship and 24 Hours of Le Mans has today (Tuesday 4th June) announced its plans for the forthcoming June update, including some of the most requested features by sim racing fans - as well as information on the 2024 season content, bringing exciting new cars and the latest circuits to the game.
As the clock ticks down to the 24 Hours of Le Mans next week, Studio 397, the team behind Le Mans Ultimate will release the June update on Monday 10th June alongside the free BMW M Hybrid V8 DLC which can be redeemed via Steam. Further 2024 content will be available through the 2024 Season Pass or its individual packs, with the first instalment expected in July.

I like how the main feature additions are basically 'ACC but LMU'... This isn't a slight, it just shows how influential ACC has been as a title that features like the mid-screen radar are now considered essential for any sim

Great updates, but please give us the ability to save seat and pitch position for each car. I always have to re-adjust when I switch cars! Very frustrating!

Same. Racing against the AI in this game is really what sold it for me. The pack of cars all around the track even when practicing etc. is so much fun.

I’m a dedicated VR use, no VR no play… so I online play LMU offline. Please give us VR users beta VR and online play so we VR users don’t miss out the pre-release fun!!! Btw I imho LMU is addressing the best race-category available for simracing and absolutely honoring it.

Are the 2024 season packs going to be released like normal dlcs on Steam (like ACC) or is it similar to RF2?
Game is literally unplayable for me, after having the game for 2 months. Game launches with graphics missing from the menu/options screens, barely get to the race weekend where it's just the HUD on top of a black screen. Uninstalled/reinstalled countless times, verified game files -- still, nothing.👎 LMU Discord support has no answers. Back to playing other sims, I suppose ...

This is very exciting! I’m very happy to have purchased the game in early access and whitness how this could turn into one of the best sims ever
Every racing simulator should use this video as a prime example of what to do with updates and how to announce/prioritize them
So much attention to detail. This is imo real attention to detail. Not that a car has all the microscopic gooves on the tires, which is what all racing games focus on nowadays, but stuff like the ultra complex hybrid system, the arb adjustments while in the car and the braking model that changes with the regenerative braking mode.
And let's not forget the comunication between devs and fans. You just proved that it doesn't have to be toxic or pull you down like others have said, but if anything it helps the game move forward.
NOTHING imo comes close to this sim. The feel that your car is not on rails and can snap at any moment if you're not careful is there irl too (most le mans hypercar crashes this year were just like this, snaps of oversteer).

Guys please don't mess up this gem of a code just like with rFactor. I can imagine this being the greatest racing platform if you play your cards right (as the physics is the best hands down). Raging iRacing fanboys in 3, 2, 1...
Why would we care if they rage? Fanboys are usually 12 yr olds stuck in grown men's body's
Honestly, I still think this is the best platform if you want to race modern WEC. Nothing else comes close imo. Unless you want to play on previous eras, then RF2 and AC would be your best bet.
I play basically everything that is available and has prober wheel support. I own like 90% of the iRacing content but also like to play AC, ACC, AMS2, RaceRoom, rF2, Dirt 2, WRC and of course LMU. Every title has its strength and weaknesses. I like all of them. 👍🏻

Mid race save is a must for endurance racing. Also custom grids. Having all cars of the three categories makes racing almost impossible ( unless you have a super high end pc).
I expect you will soon release VR compatibility. For me, No VR no Party.

Its so disapointing to hear about all the paid content 3 months after an EARLY ACCESS release. I guess gone are the days of paying for a full game up front, now we pay for dripped out content every quarter of the year and every game on the market will compete to squeeze as much as they can out of their fans with paid content for their favorite games.
Might be but ACC does the same and I don't see it being a massive talking point and push factor. It's not great but what are you gonna do? Not insulting you in anyway but it is better than a new game every year they have to make money somewhere
please provide us an Alternative that S397 should have done? are you expecting these additions for free? Or would you have rather paid full price for an unfinished game? Please elaborate for us all

Thanks for the update, the plans and features coming soon are fantastic. I will say though, it's a bit of a sore point that a majority of the 2024 content is going to be behind Packs/Season Pass, it seems like. For a game that isn't 1.0 yet, this is a tough pill to swallow. I hope the packs are priced reasonably at the very least.
If they’re going to mimic the prices of rFactor it might be $20-40 give or take.
