- The body found in Tenerife during the search for Jay Slater has been confirmed as the missing teenager, officials say.
The injuries suffered were compatible with a fall from a cliff, a spokesperson added.

The Spanish Civil Guard Corps is a police force with a military organization. It was created in 1844 and has always stood out for its efficiency and good work. I say this because I have worked a lot with them. But it never contributes to media spectacles or to foment hoaxes and speculation. She works very seriously and is reserved in her actions. He never stopped looking for that boy, but he considered his search on the ground “finished” to prevent hundreds of fans, some with good intentions and others out of unhealthy morbidity, from coming to look for him without knowing the terrain and without being prepared to do so. exposing themselves to suffering an accident. Proof of the tireless and effective work carried out by the Civil Guard is that they finally found the boy's body. Only those of us who know that area know the extraordinary nature of the terrain, very, very rugged, full of ravines and precipices, with very dense vegetation. Being a volcanic island, the type of stones is sharp and very slippery. What happened to that boy was a product of absolute ignorance of the terrain and thinking that he was much closer to the beach than he actually was. He saw the sea, and in a straight line it seems that it is close, but it is an extremely misleading assessment. Once he left the road he would lose sight of the sea, and unfortunately walked into a death trap. He must have slipped and fallen off a cliff. No human or material efforts were spared in the search for him (mountain equipment, drones, specialized search dogs, drones, etc.). That the Civil Guard did not accept the collaboration of the English police is because they could not contribute anything. From the beginning they had the hypothesis that Jay Slater must have suffered an accident, the problem is that finding him in that rugged territory is the same as finding a needle in a haystack. My congratulations to the Civil Guard, and my deepest condolences to the family and friends. May he rest in peace (R.I.P).
My friend many years ago fell thru a skylight while messing about in a roof,it was maybe 10ft /12ft ish,he died instantly,his head hit a pool table corner,it doesn't take much of a hight to be fatal. Rip Ryan. Rip Jay.

That’s whats not adding up the apartment he was staying was 10 minutes by car 20 minutes walking. Ayub said they took him back to theirs because friends left him and he lost his key to get in to apartment. Lucy was said to have gone home so she was in. And Brad said he was at the festival til 8:00 in the morning he was walking home when Jay phoned him. So his friends hadn’t left him he did have means of getting in. There needs to be more questions asked about why he was driven to Masca instead of back to the apartment he was staying at.
If i were his mother i would want further investigation.

To be fair his mother fueled the speculation by saying if someone has got him to let him go. Him Being young, not knowing the terrain, risk taking etc. going off track and having a fall makes total sense. Glad they've found him now and the family and friends can have closure and start to grieve. It must be terrible when someone is missing.

This particular person was apparently involved in a violent crime in the UK, so people on mass have made assumptions about his disappearance since the get go. And sky, the sun and other daily tabloids will post anything to get online engagement. It got negative attention and bogus “updates” constantly.

I think the translation from Spanish to English used the wrong words to describe his clothes and possessions. He wouldn't have had many 'possessions' on him... unless later on we find out he did have drugs on him.

Don’t believe this is as straight forward as the police are saying something just not right should be fully investigated
If it’s to do with drugs which it likely is then of course they won’t investigate.
So many questions still:
1. Why did he go back to the house in Masca (over an hour drive away) when he had a place to stay 8 minutes away from where he was.
2. What was his relation to this 31 year old Ayub? Why did he feel comforable enough to go back to his secluded air bnb in the middle of nowhere.
3. Why would he set off for an 11 hour hike after being out partying the previous night when he was offered a lift back from Ayub?
Seems a bit coincidental the Police found him right near where his phone pinged after a month of searching as soon as the dutch detectives were employed to investigate the case. Coincidently also they managed to find his body as soon as they started charging people 28 euros to go up into the mountains and search for Jay. Along side all the weird interviews with his so called "friends" not wanting to show there face and laughing throughout. To say this case is fishy is a understatement in my opinion.

Anyone who's ever been clubbing has ended up back in a random's living room a long way from home. He was just a young naive teenager who hadn't put enough thought into it and how hard it was actually going to be to get home.

Something doesn't add up, may well of been a tragic accident but if it don't gel it ain't gello and seems like everything is pointed in the direction of a tragic accident but how did they only just find the body after having police and search and rescue teams and volunteers extensively searching 🤔
Maybe he did get into trouble with the wrong people and paid the ultimate price for it and the tragic accident which were meant to believe was actually a murder. But we may never know. Either way 19 year old died and that's tragic in itself no matter the cause of death. What can we learn from this? Always carry a power bank when out out somewhere, and if the rumours are true don't mess with the wrong people.

So many questions remain. Why would anyone think they could walk 11 hours back to their accommodation in a foreign country, not knowing the way other than perhaps relying on maps on his phone? In Tenerife, with temperatures averaging in the 20s to 30s, dehydration would set in quickly. I heard he missed the bus and the stop was right outside the Airbnb. But why not wait for the next bus? Why not flag down a passing car? Why did he go to the Airbnb alone? Where were his friends at that point? I feel something must have happened at the Airbnb that made him feel he couldn't stay there and had to get away, leading to his fatal journey. So many questions... Nothing can change the outcome now, but why not wait for the next bus?

He didn't climb though. The starting point of his fatal journey was the B&B, which is already located at a 650 m height. He walkd the main road uphill (until he reached a 740 m height) and then he went off road downhill through a trail. He never needed to climb in order to fall down some gorge by accident.

His Family said he was a clever person, so why did he decide to leave a bus stop at walk 11 hours through rough terrain at night?
Because he'd taken lots of drugs at a rave and probably plenty more in the living room he'd gone back to. I've got mates who've left an afterparty, staggered onto a tram going in the wrong direction and ended up 15 miles from their own house. Luckily for them, it was in Manchester in April, not Tenerife in the height of summer. These things happen all the time.
As for how clever he was... he was an apprentice bricklayer. Not a career path chosen by too many intellectuals, is it?

Not "near" or "beside" or anything that suggests his clothes weren't on him. This is just journalists misquoting an official statement on purpose to keep the crime theories alive.

Yes i remember passing out asleep on a park bench after a mad night out at around 4am. I woke up at 8 am covered in sleet snow with short sleeved shirt on it was like 1deg. I couldn't feel my arms or body. I dont know how i lived. Was way more carefull after that night

I'm sorry the whole thing reeks. To many questions nothing rings true.
This doesn’t add up to me because if they found the location of his last ping and bought a helicopter to find his dead body why didn’t they use a helicopter before???
I’m not sure a copter would have been able to see him if he fell down a very steep cliff/ravine. With bushes etc
However I don’t know why this area of the last ping - wasn’t searched thoroughly. And why sniffer dogs wouldn’t have been able to detect him?. Unless they weren’t trained as cadaver dogs.
So he may have not been there for the last 29 days. Who knows.
Helicopters were filmed flying over during the searches and drones sent up. He might have fallen and then being covered over with an avalanche of rocks.
