It's not as easy as that, their custom space suits have to be compatible with the launch vehicle, they were designed to only work with the Boeing craft

People forget it took SpaceX nearly 10 years to perfect their crewed Dragon capsule, Boeing have only started in the last few years and are already doing crewed missions, the important part is everyone is still safe and they're learning valuable lessons from the test flight to improve future ones.
Remind me, How many astronauts got suck at the ISS via the dragon capsule?

From my understanding, they are paid their regular enlisted wage in what ever rank they are in their respective forces, but are paid an "Allowance" during time at the ISS.
Astronauts don't do it for the money, I bet they would go up there for free if they had to.

People are being so dramatic - these astronauts are used to 12+ month long stays at the ISS. It’s not them that we need to worry about, it’s the resources.

So essentially they've decided to extend their stay into a normal six month stay (standard for all normal iss expeditions) they are not "stranded" they could easily get spacex to get them back before Feb so they have decided to stay a normal amount of time before coming back so the news best not milk this non story

I understand space exploration yet I'm confused why they don't spend the resources to explore the oceans !To my recollection something about gravity or lack thereof prevents conception in space n that's one major hurtle preventing colonization in space stations !Many studies have been conducted n biosphere 1 n 2 how to recycle urine use feces for fertilizer if my memory serves me correctly experiments were conducted with various animals concerning conception n lack of gravity!

NASA’s Director Bill Nelson needs to resign. Boeing knew going in that this wasn’t going to work. Nelson was and remains an accomplice to this whole situation. Poor leadership, deception of the public, incompetency and lack of accountability are his alone. Don’t even get me started on issues with SLS and why aren’t spacesuits standardized????? Director Nelson must answer for this gross incompetency.
They knew the capsule is not safe to return right away, yet they waited 2 months, so it doesn't look so bad.
