With normal paint I understand what is meant, only if you use three layers of powder shouldn't you just spray it thickly? I guess you don't put the product in the oven three times, do you? I can speak English reasonably well, but in all fairness I have to say that Google helped with this story. : / I do think that communicating in this way has made a lot clear and that we help many people with this. I have never tried it. Notice that in this video the second coat is applied via the hot flock method which is where the part is still hot from the first baking so the powder sticks because of the heat. very novel idea to insert the air supply tube inside the powder outlet tube. never seen any other commercial powder coating gun with that design. as I am planning to build my own powder coating gun, I am thinking to use a plastic jar, pvc elbow for the powder outlet, and the air supply tube inserted to the lid of the jar but not inside the pvc elbow. do you think there is an advantage of those 2 tubes separate . thinking of better flow. I will probably experiment with 2 designs.
I think two tubes would be better as long as it had a tapered and direct route to the outlet. I tried a peanut butter jar first with an inlet and outlet holes in the lid. I found that it had heaps of turbulence in the jar as it tried to find its way out and end up leaving pockets of powder at in the exit tube which would build up and then fall out the end as clumps. It just didn't work as well. This design gives me smoother airflow, even though it has to make its way around the Intel tube entering the bottle. Would be keen to see how your design works out.
Maybe, it only needs 5-10psi of pressure to run. It will really depend on its airflow rating. If using an air compressor you will need an air regulator. Air compressors often have a cut off at 90+ psi so you need the air regulator to maintain a 5-10psi pressure. You might get away with a car pressure pump if balance between the pump and powder coating gun are right.
