Worrying times for Joe Cullen. Unless he makes the Top 16 after Ally Pally, he won't be prequalified for the Euro Tour anymore either and that used to be where he consistently earned most of his ranking money to qualify for majors. He could have a free fall down the rankings if he doesn't find back his form quickly.
Really good chance for Conor Scutt and Wesley Plaisier to get into that top 64 over the next couple of months and not have to worry about starting over next year
They would effectively be better of starting over though with a 2 year card from scratch whereas if they sneak into top 64 now they take this years money and will be on a one year
@@harryl95 It effectively is a 2 year card with the added bonus of starting in the top 64 as you are not defending any of the money for the first year.
@@Ardonitex yeah maybe but they will be only just inside and if a poor year and drop down a few spaces will be back to q school whereas if start a fresh they have full 2 year to build up as much as poss. Pros and cons for both i guess
@@johnnyryan83 yeah true but with then only just being inside top 64 if they start getting beat by those around them and drop a couple of spots may lose the card a year later. Pro’s and cons for both points of view
The Grand Slam is sure going to hurt a lot of these Top Players’ rankings if they don’t have good runs, I mean Price, Clayton, and Aspinall didn’t qualify for this tournament, and are certain to go down the rankings
I don’t mind that so much what I do mind tho is that non tour card holders can earn ranking money coming through weaker fields, if you don’t get in via a tour card holder route you shouldn’t get the ranking, just like Duzza a few years ago
You can't call it a major tournament with a 3 time champion not involved premier league players missing. I've looked at some of the players involved. I won't be watching
Two Nathan Rafferty's, there's only two Nathan Rafferty's

@harryl95 but they start that one year already in the top 64. I think that's much more preferable to starting with nothing.

You can't help but feel for Cullen.
I love your videos Matthew
Thank you ☺️

I've been checking regularly but they haven't announced the schedule of play yet
They need time to fix it

Going to blow the rankings up
Any idea what time grand slam draw is please matt
Shame for Clayton as he was doing so well getting back up the rankings
Matthew what dfo you think of noa Lynn van leuven playing in it and costing a women a place in it
What's your view on non tour card holders taking ranking money away from the players on the tour?

@@Edgartvdarts I totally agree
So this means, this year Wesley Plaisier for example can't climb the rankings, without the TourCard right? @@Edgartvdarts
@@mystic2419 Wesley and Conner Scutt both got 2 year tour cards in the past two days.
What about the group winner bonus or does that not count?
Don’t think so
Bring Back the A4 Paper!
I hope Menzies has a good run in this, certainly has the game but lacks confindence in his own potential ,let’s see
Best chance he’s going to get coming into it with the form line he is, defo be feared
When is the draw?
Wizard not done much this year.
I’ve got a proposition for you, if Joe Cullen wins the worlds you have to come to a Royston game. What do you say?
100%
I’ll hold you to that
@@RTFCFanClub I think Matts safe...
@@oldgold5848 Probably but hopefully not
This could be a huge chance for Wade to climb he isn’t really defending anything until the European Championship until 2025 ⚙️
its daft u can win a pro tour and not get in
Hoping near and connor scutt get 1st round win & rock goes deep
Scutt will be feared
