      Honestly, the "base model" one with the unfluted barrel was my favorite design. That damascus is whats up though. I wonder if that same model can be made in damascus cuz id be all over that.

      They must have impressed you. I have been hoping the stars would align for a Mr73 but it looks like these might scratch that itch.

      MIM parts are hard on the outside a bit like case hardening. Very little machining (grinding) can be done before you get to the softer core. Similar again to case hardening. Generally no alterations are recommended on S&W hammers (as referenced in the video). However if can be done with heat treatment (and various other processes). It is cost prohibitive to do such custom work. Nothing wrong with MIM parts, they're strong and good. Just wanted to clarify that. Your HIllary Holed S&W is fine!

    • @theangrymarmot8336
      @theangrymarmot8336 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CandidZulu MIM does get an un-needed bad rap - it is perfectly fine. However - it is super awesome they are using EDM to cut the components after hardening. I would be willing to bet the life expectancy of those parts from Spohr are substantially longer than MIM.

    It's a bit late, but the material Tomas was referring to, Wolfram, is known as Tungsten in English. If there's a Tungsten slug under the barrel in the .44 version, those things will not flip much at all when firing. That's an impressive commitment to quality.

    I must admit that these are the best looking German revolvers i´ve seen so far. The S&W revolvers that are beeing tuned in Germany (that i´ve seen) usually look kind of funky...like a young guy modifying a car to look like a sports car... & despite the trim & added crap... it still has a normal weak engine & still doesn´t look the part.

    I very much enjoy my Spohr 284 Carry. A "zero tolerance" revolver is a most different experience versus traditional S&W and Colt products. Cost was ~$3500 including state tax and transport/FFL fees. This was much less than current Korth costs. The Spohr's easily adjustable main spring tension was a HUGE plus! @ANTI-STATIST I’m imagining it as I live here now and I hate it. However NY laws make revolvers more viable options so that’s cool! I’d be dumb to live in a state like Texas where I can carry a firearm with 17 rounds and still choose a revolver!
      So if you like minimal freedom, magazine capacity limits, and being taxed into oblivion come on over to NY!

      I load my 3" 357 Colt with 38 wadcutters. They hit better for me. The 357 pulls the gun off target so much further than the 38 loads. For defense out to 25ft there is not much difference. Put a round in the wheelhouse and somebody has a bad day. Price wise I'm paying the same for 38 as I do for 44mag.... 357 was $1.50 per round last time I saw some.

    Those are VERY SWEET Looking Revolvers and I am VERY IMPRESSED by the PRICE Point I would have thought they were MORE MONEY! For the Looks of it they seems to be INLINE with KORTH Revolvers but they Start at 3500 and go up from there but this are UNDERCUTTING that PRICE with the SAME MANUFACTURING QUALITY and ACCURACY! If they come here to the USA I would would SERIOUSLY THINK about getting the DLC 357 MAG 6 inch model with the 9mm Cylinder. James did Mr. Spohr say how much the 9mm Cylinder runs?

    I thought I recognised S&W genetics within this. Much like Taurus, both make/made parts for S&W revolvers.

    I've been looking for a revolver with a Picatinny rail under the barrel so I can mount a light. Why is this not an option or standard feature on American revolvers?
