Jose, you are an extremely talented story narrator. The timing and vocabulary is very inspiring This video is so enjoyable I already watched it numerous times.
Nice tour of Astoria but you left out a very big part of the population that was there before the Greeks and is still there and it's plenty of Italian residents and restaurants.
Agree. Grew up in Astoria and what made this area great was the Italian and Greek influence in all aspects of this neighbourhood. Including but not limited to food, music, religion. I left many year ago, and while it still has alot of natural beauty and convenience, based on its location, I doubt it will ever be the same as I remember it.
José, tell us the history of Orchard beach in the Bronx New York. With all footage and the whole thing together, please because no one really has it, please tell is. Thank you.
I appreciate all the support. That would be a great idea for a summer video. I briefly recorded Orchard Beach in the winter but I want to do more of the Bronx and include the Bronx Zoo. Thank you
Mr. jose, are you a ny native? .. what neighborhood in what Burrough do you recommend thats great for family for daily family lifstyle .. family oriented ..?
Hello, I am a native of New York City. I think all five boroughs are great but I lean more towards Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, and Staten Island. Uptown Manhattan is also good but downtown is very busy and more touristic. Queens is the best for daily lifestyle and a bit of everything and its close to the other boroughs
Proud Astoria resident for nearly 9 years and couldn't ever imagine living anywhere else! (That being said- it's a horrible place to live, just awful, if you're thinking of moving here... don't. Stay in Bklyn ;) ;) ;)
Crazy Dominic's at 5 Points sold delicious Czech wine for a buck a bottle blessed and sanctified as truly God's drink of choice. Under the Astoria Blvd stop was where you'd see the motorcycle cops every day before protests on 125th St.. These 8 foot tall cops would get the call from their flatfoot friends in Harlem and ride over the bridge to crack heads. Gregg Peters as Elvis would hunka hunka at the Dew Drop on 24th Ave where across 31st St. the richest most succulent souvlaki cost 3 bucks.

Astoria is now the Most Gay neighborhood outside the village in Manhattan. It’s pathetic and disgusting 🤮
